Today we may experience the Movement of Unconditional Love. Those born under the sign of Dog/OC are said to achieve success because of their understanding of Human Nature – “the ways of thinking, feeling and acting we come by naturally, apart from cultural influence.” (Wikipedia) Dog loves us unconditionally in spite of seeing our limitations, as well as our potential.
On our journey through life we all face disappointments, most often the result of our relationships with one another. And yet, one aspect of our Human Nature is to need one another. We weren’t meant to be alone. Today we are meant to come to the understanding that unconditional love is a necessity for our own happiness.
THE TRECENA OF STAR/LAMAT
3 Dog/OC (Cherokee, Wolf/KANA’TI)
Galactic Tone 3: Action. Three is basic movement and communication, which begins as a vibration. Three energy is very eloquent in all types of self-expression. Communication is how Three establishes a point of agreement between any point “A” and any point “B”. Three persons are rhythmic to the core and are often restless, as motion is their nature. By working closely with the energy of Three, any person becomes more able to predict motions of all kinds.
Dog/OC: Courageous, loyal and warm-hearted, very alert and valiant, people born of Dog are respected for their sense of justice and their protection. People born of the sun sign Dog are very sensual and know how to enjoy life. Playfulness and a good understanding of the basic human nature lead to prosperity for Dog. Dogs are good team players who love to travel and have a keen sense of their position in society. Dogs are ambitious and will take opportunities when they offer themselves, including infidelities. Dog persons share the nature of coyotes, spies, wolves and lawyers.
Love is the Answer
Yesterday’s Tone 2 asked us to consider how we are different. At Tone 3, Dog/OC asks us to see how we are all the same. Self preservation is an aspect of our Human Nature, and so is our need for one another. We have to find a way of living so these forces are not at odds with one another.
The totem Dog/Wolf is a pack animal. Human beings are pack animals too. Dog demonstrates the capacity of unconditional love. In spite of poor treatment, it’s in Dog’s nature to return to us with love.
Loving is a movement that requires an act of our Will. As we experience the joy of receiving unconditional love, we become more capable to return it. So are others more able to return love, when our own love is offered unconditionally.
One of the best illustrations of unconditional love can be drawn from the Prayer of St. Francis of Assis:
Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console,
To be understood as to understand,
To be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
It is in dying to self that we are born to eternal life.
To all my relations, may we remember that our opportunities to receive love are expanded when we first give love unconditionally. May we know the Truth that only by giving Love are we able to receive it in full measure.
