8 Eagle/MEN – Reflecting Light

Greetings Kin,

8 Eagle/MEN

Yesterday, Tone 7 asked us to take an honest look at ourselves. That’s usually never fun. Though, if it isn’t uncomfortable, I know I haven’t looked hard enough. I’m adopting the strategy that those pangs of self-disappointment are actually bolts of Healing Light. 😐

Today, Tone 8 challenges us to acknowledge the right use of our spiritual power. Eagle/MEN is a Day Sign that calls us into service as a mediator.

8 Eagle/MEN (Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI)

Galactic Tone 8: Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eight. Eights carefully weighs all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement ‘as above, so below,’ from simplicity to infinity, the energy of eight organizes all levels of creation, some eights are ‘neat freaks.’

Eagle/MEN: Intermediary between Heaven and Earth. Due to the Eagles superior point of view and keen intelligence, they achieve material abundance and good fortune. A messenger gifted with patience and a deep sense of value, Eagle brings hope and trust on the wings of Spirit. Eagle persons are very detail oriented and technically inclined. Compassionate service to others sustains prosperity for Eagle personas as the flapping of wings would sustain their bird brothers. If Eagle becomes viciously competitive or possessive, greed and jealousy cause a fall from the heights. Eagles, being blessed with freedom of movement, should be aware of escapism. Eagles may be tempted to just fly away from troubles by using indulgences.

Eagle/MEN demonstrates that the best way to bring justice to the world is to serve in the role of a mediator. We can use Eagle’s eyes to see what is needed from a mile away. Often, we need a broader perspective to see the opportunities to be of service that are presented to us every day.

The people who may most benefit from our service are those who are lacking in the same strength we have. We may find it easier to help people we see as similar than different. Most often, what we resist giving is our full presence and acknowledgement. This service is far more important than the credit it’s given.

Our greatest Spiritual Gift is our ability to Love. When we move beyond our resistance to share it, we help to fulfill a balance of justice that is deserved by each one of us – in the very moment the opportunity is presented to us.

To all my relations, may we consider the fullness of the blessing we receive from the Creator and seek to be a reflections of that same Light for everyone in need of that unconditional love.
