MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
The glaring Truth delivered to me by Flint/EZTNAB was a reflection of the reality of darkness in the world. Once in a while, I feel compelled to take a stroll through the news. Storm/CAUAC brings a resolution to our hard realities.
Storm/CAUAC embodies the feeling of warmth and security in the home while the tempest rages in the outside world. There will always be challenges and hard truths. How it affects the Road to our Destiny will depend on our strategy.
THE TRECENA OF ROAD/EB
8 Storm/CAUAC (Cherokee, Redbird/TOTSU’HWA)
Galactic Tone 8: Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eights carefully weighs all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement ‘as above, so below,’ from simplicity to infinity, the energy of eight organizes all levels of creation, some eights are ‘neat freaks.’
Storm/Cauac: Day of the blessing of rain, giver of all life and lightening, a gift of nitrogen to Mother Earth and ozone to Father Sky. Cauac is also associated with the moon and the cycles of the moon, which are the meter of the feminine aspect of creation. The essence of Storm is the feeling of unity, security and warmth experienced in the home while the tempest of trouble rages in the world outside. Perpetually youthful, Storms exist to experience the ecstasy of freedom. They have the great capacity to both learn and teach. Their constant quest for novel experiences often leads to difficult tests and storms of emotion. Looking at these difficulties for the lessons they indeed are, will enrich our lives rather than destroy. Cauac individuals teach much through their electricity of being. Lightning energizes earth, this same energy energizes humans. Divine connections can be accessed.
Commanding our Destiny: Day 8
Spring weather holds childhood memories of growing up in Kansas, the great central plains of North America. Spring meant the arrival of tornado season and other volatile weather. We lived on the path from Texas through Oklahoma and Kansas called “tornado alley.” I remember evenings when my parents, big sister and I would gather on the front porch in our pajamas. We all sat on the steps as Mom and Dad watched the skies for any evidence of funnel clouds. We didn’t have Doppler Radar in the 1950’s.
It was not a time for conversation. If there was any need for talking it was restricted to hushed tones. We were all immersed in the Natural World sitting silently together in the dark. I don’t remember any fear. In fact, these times are among my happiest childhood memories.
When storms rage outside it’s our Human Nature to take cover. This is a lesson for the evolution of our Spiritual Nature. There is a lot we could be afraid of from the world outside. We can find our shelter within by gathering ourselves in to the loving presence of God.
Galactic Tone 8 brings an intention of justice as harmony and balance. For whatever danger we may face, God makes a way. Living in the moment under the protection of God care our fears are revealed as illusion and we are empowered by reason and courage.
Storm/CAUAC is a demonstration of the wild and wonderful, uncontrollable forces of nature. Storm can serve to sweep away the dead branches. The strongest parts of us will thrive as our roots will reach down to find a deeper foundation.
To all my relations, may we acknowledge God’s power that is beyond our understanding. May we remember to never linger in darkness, but head straight-away to the shelter of God’s protection and Love.
