MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Our walk on Earth begins as we take our first breath. Air is the Element we first look for as the evidence of Life, and our Breath is the substance that always connects us as One.
From the in-breath we draw our life and inspiration from Sacred Source. The out-breath is the dissemination of ‘who we are’ to the world. We are constantly exchanging parts of ourselves with one another.
The last 60 days of the Tzolk’in have carried us through an intense process of dynamic transformation. Like the evolution of a butterfly, we are unrecognizable as what we were before. As the NEW SEED, The New Corn People, our germination is completed and our shoots have emerged to reach for the Light.
Look around. It’s happening everywhere.
The illusion of who we thought we would always be is crumbling before our eyes. The violence and horror that once seemed so foreign and far away is now at our doorsteps. Refugees are just like us – only forced to flee Home and Everything they held dear for their lives, not by chance but by an orchestrated plan. We can finally see that there would be no end until Everything is consumed.
Wind is the Trumpet’s Sound for Love to Rise Up and Be. We are given the Gift of the great “I Am” to claim the Powerful Force of our Love! As we share common breath with ALL, Our Light holds the Power to dispel Every darkness.
6 Wind/IK facilitates dynamic changes giving us the ability to switch directions quickly. Wind brings the Wisdom to seek and heal that which is out of balance. Our greatest power to create a new world is brought forth through the SPOKEN Words of Love.
Breath is a healing force. Direct Breath with the intention of Love to wherever healing is needed. As we have become One in our Suffering, we are being prepared to become One in our Light.
To all my relations, may we find our strength by holding the highest intentions of Love. We are created as reflections of God. As our Sacred Seed comes to Life, may we lift our voices to Mother Earth to claim our True inheritance, “I Am” Love.

6 Wind/IK (Cherokee, Whirlwind/AGALU’GA)
Galactic Tone 6: Six is responsiveness and the art of negotiation. It is the movement of volume through space that creates time. This energy in action is like the art of dance or a great athlete in motion. Six facilitates dynamic developments in all aspects of life.
Wind/IK: Breath of Spirit, breath of life. Winds embody the power of dissemination and planting of good seeds or ideas. Dreamers and planners with powerful imaginations, Wind persons make great orators and they spread the word of spiritual inspiration as it is carried by the wind. Wind is the power behind the movement of natural cycles such as weather, erosion, and cultural change. As the wind, these persons are extremely changeable and adaptable. They may appear inconsistent or fickle to others. Wind can be destructive to self and others by putting on airs. When Winds strut and boast, expanding on facts and accomplishments, they are building the dark clouds of trouble that may become hurricanes.
Cherokee, Whirlwind/AGALU’GA: Whirlwind’s symbol is a double spiral helix in rising smoke. Wind brings energy for an Inquiring mind, learning and wisdom. In Cherokee, the constellations are represented by 12 birds (dancers), the 13th bird is the Whirlwind, the lead dancer. This reflects the whirling of life. Wind is the breath of the Universe (matching the Mayan symbol) channel of communication and carries the Sacred Smoke to the Great Spirit (Source- Hunab Ku in Mayan); matches the pulse of the breath of the Cosmos.
