MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
The trecena of Night/AKBAL has been leading us to our Dream. On Tone 10 we can realize a new Truth with the power to change the course of our Destiny. The progress we’ve made becomes our own as we are able to recognize, acknowledge, and claim it.
The glyph of Road/EB illustrates the Human, another name for Road/EB. In the upper right corner is shown the Road to Destiny. The responsibility of what we make of our lives rests on our own head. Without a direction and intention we can go through our lives never feeling like we are getting anywhere. Getting mindlessly lost in a daily routine, we can fail to experience our real purpose for living.
When we are invested in our own Dreams and Intentions, we are empowered to determine the Course of our own Destiny. Night/AKBAL has led us to a greater Truth than the discovery of our Dream. More important is that we can claim the Power to Dream and the Power to Reason. We are God’s only creation given the power to Divine the Dream to Manifest a Creation.
Road/EB represents the South, the direction of our first relationships with one another and the world. Our gifts are meant to be shared for the greater good of all. This is a good day to recognize the accomplishments of others, so they too can claim Higher Ground.
To all my relations, may we re-examine our experiences so we may fully claim the gifts we have been given. May our measure of success come from an assessment within versus outside appearances. May we claim through our gratitude and appreciation, that the real power we were given is the magic to make our own Dreams Come True.

THE TRECENA OF NIGHT/AKBAL
10 Road/EB (Cherokee, Rattlesnake Tooth/Kanu’ga)
Galactic Tone 10: Manifestation. What were once intentions or ideas, hopes or fears become physically present with the energy of Ten. What is focused upon with attention and intention becomes real with Ten. Ten is a powerful energy that carries a great responsibility.
Road/EB: The bearer of time and conductor of destiny; also known as Human; these persons open the road and guide to the future groups, communities and individuals alike. Likable, obedient, dedicated hard workers and organizers, Road persons are fortunate in business and travel. Many become care takers of the poor, sick, or old people, where they may make personal sacrifices. Road is sometimes referred to as the sign of grass, which is the most bountiful of all life forms, but is also the most humble. Road persons are affectionate and emphatic; they are easily hurt but slow to anger. Holding in of negative emotions and unexpressed resentment can lead to illness, a poisoned opinion of others and a false bravado for this sun sign.
Cherokee, Rattlesnake Tooth/Kanu’ga: Symbol is Rainbow, a delicate display of electromagnetic rays of the SUN. The Natal day sign of Medicine, the Shaman, the Priest, the Healer, and the Sorcererkh; Guardian of the Way, Keeper of the Keys of the secret Kingdom.
NEW DAY KEEPERS: My sacred intention for the new Tzolk’in round is to offer more personal support to those who may want to learn more about ways to draw personal meaning from the calendar. I will be offering an Introductory Guided Course for Day Keepers in the near future. Contact me if this is something you would be interested in! Also, if you’d just like help identifying your Day Sign, I’m more than happy to help. Blessings, in lak’ech Debra (firstname.lastname@example.org)
