MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
The Wind/IK trecena is leading us to a deeper understanding of our Inherent Role as Creators. We’ve learned that every creation is first conceived by Spirit. Our Sacred Intention is the Seed that defines what it may become. We begin the process of germination when we invest ourselves to bring our inspiration into Being.
CIMI helped us to understand the symptoms and signs of a Creation in Progress. Our creation is unrecognizable during its first stages of development. The chaos we feel is the vulnerability of our Intention, reaching for Life as a fragile sprout. Our Creation calls us to draw what is needed to take root so our creation might grow into the fullness of its Being.
Tone 6 begins the peak energy of this cycle of transformation. Compared to the energy of a great athlete in motion, Tone 6 establishes momentum through a flow and rhythm of movement. We emerge from the chaos of the unknown and begin to realize our progress.
Deer/MANIK is the Day Sign of the Mayan Priest that demonstrates our Role as Divine Co-Creators. By Answering Our Call to Serve as the Hand of God, our Creation is empowered by its Highest Purpose.
The totem Deer demonstrates the power of standing silently and immovably in our own Truth. Deer lives its life as a pilgrimage by the power of vigilant attention. Deer’s ever-present consciousness makes clear the need, timing and direction of movement.
For our new creation to survive, we must be single-minded in our Intention to carry it through. Deer reminds us to be present with the Dream that first inspired our Creation. Wind gives us the power to change directions quickly as we need to.
We are called into the service of others. Deer is willing to make a personal sacrifice. Our creation may undergo many changes as it’s raised to its Highest Potential by our consideration of the Greatest Good for All.
MANIK brings the Spiritual Tools necessary to move away from negative influences. Our vigilant attention and keen observation allows us to see our areas of personal limitation so we can be given the Spiritual Tools to overcome them.
The peak Tone 6 offers us the momentum of forward movement and calls awareness to our work in the world. We create the Greatest Good as we discover our Way to extend the Divine Love of the Creator.
To all my relations, may we nourish our Spirit by revisiting the Dream of our Divine Inspiration. May we have the courage to see our own limitations to know where we can draw upon Divine Power. May we learn to carry the responsibilities of Creation with Fluidity and Grace, as we stand firm in our Sacred Intention. May we be guided by Love to serve the Highest Good for All.

THE TRECENA OF WIND/IK
6 Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi)
Galactic Tone 6: Six is responsiveness and the art of negotiation. It is the movement of volume through space that creates time. This energy in action is like the art of dance or a great athlete in motion. Six facilitates dynamic developments in all aspects of life.
Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.
Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions. Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer: A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician. Ability to create harmonic resonance.
The Trecena Guide: 13-Day forecast of daily energies for the Wind/IK trecena.
Ceremony Page: A Wind/IK message from Minisa Crumbo Halsey from the wisdom of the sacred Medicine Wheel path.
