THE TRECENA OF STAR/LAMAT
We are beginning our final ascent of the 260-day Tzolkin round. Star/LAMAT offers potential for an Abundance of our Highest Spiritual Aspiration. Our destination is the Highest Energy of Ascension of the entire Tzolk’in calendar in the Yukatec tradition.
With Rabbit as its totem animal, LAMAT brings high energy and boundless potential to Multiply Abundance throughout this 13-day cycle. As a “womb of new creation” Rabbit’s heart beats a little bit faster and its body’s resting temperature is a little bit higher. This Higher Vibration of energy can feel a bit out of control. We can do well by remembering all the Spiritual Tools we’ve been given and offer our full attention to Being Present with Spirit.
We are made of stardust to become the Personification of Light. Star/LAMAT leads us to the Total Realization of who we are.
We are in the 13th Uinal of Ascension and our destination is 13 Sun/AHAU. We are being led to an Ascension of Enlightenment under the Day Sign of our Shining Light. 13 Ahau (Kin 260) is also a Portal Day that magnifies our Experience.
The Truths we discovered over the past 260-day journey will be drawn to their conclusion. Star/LAMAT leads the trecena with the energy to multiply to abundance. What we focus on will be subject to the energy of proliferation. This trecena holds a great potential for blessings and great responsibility.
Our Highest Truth will be realized through a Communion with Spirit (6 Reed/BEN), Spiritually Centered in Gratitude (7 Jaguar/IX), where we will be called into Service as Intermediaries (8 Eagle/MEN) to bring Compassion and Forgiveness to the world (9 Wisdom/CIB). The Star/LAMAT trecena ends on the Ascension of 13 Sun/AHAU, the Solar Mind, Lord and Master of Enlightenment.
Today is the beginning of a very important journey to a Realization of Self. We might think of this trecena as the Last Word, bringing together everything we were meant to Know. We make a deeper connection to Spirit through a dedicated daily practice of Sacred Ceremony. 13 Deer/MANIK encouraged that we hold the Power to evoke Divine Agency through Ritual and Ceremony. This is a trecena worthy of a Vision Quest.
A Vision Quest is a journey of Spirit that is Sacred, because we Claim it So. It represents an Offering of Ourselves, our Time, and our Attention. Much like the shaman who make the pilgrimage to the High Altars, the journey in itself is a Sacred Ceremony.
In the Native American tradition, One may spend weeks or months in preparation for a Vision Quest – considering prayers of intention, making prayer ties, gathering the offerings of tobacco, sage, and cornmeal, making the clothing and consecrating everything that would be carried with them. Vision Quests are traditionally a 4-day ceremony of fasting and meditation, carried out in Silence and Solitude. In the traditional way, this ceremony is initiated with purification in the Sweat Lodge ceremony.
Personal Retreat is a meaningful way to have an Ecastatic Experience of Spirit. Traditional retreat experiences are often difficult to access and carry out in our busy world, but we can accomplish the same thing through a Sacred Commitment of our Time.
We can initiate ourselves into a Vision Quest by preparing with a Sacred Intention. Tone 1 opens us to new Inspiration. We consider the Offering of Ourselves and what we might choose to commit to as a Dedicated Daily Practice… by being open to what Spirit would lead us to do. We can reset our altar, choose a prayer shawl, gather and consecrate everything we might use for this Special Purpose. We can purify ourselves through a Ritual Anointing of water and/or clearing with sage and sweetgrass. We can initiate our Quest in Oneness with the Natural World. Being Present in Nature, we can feel the Earth beneath our feet, see the Beauty in every direction, the Whisper of the Wind and the Stars in the Sky. We can declare Sacred this Time as our Beginning and Claim our Place as “Here I Am.”
To all my relations, may we listen for the Voice of Spirit for our Divine Inspiration. As we consider what we might offer of ourselves, may we remember Star/LAMAT brings the potential to multiply to abundance our Highest Aspiration.

THE TRECENA OF STAR/LAMAT
1 Star/LAMAT (Cherokee, Rabbit/TAKATO’KA), Kin 248
Galactic Tone 1: Unity. One is the beginning of all things, the first, the whole and the all in one. One’s are assertive and self-guided and give a good push to whatever project they are associated with. One persons work best when meeting a challenge. Do not expect One-persons to be attentive to details or to put the finishing touches on things.
Star/LAMAT: Star energy is multiplication of all things to abundance. Star has been associated with the fertility of rabbits for its ability to multiply. As each sun in the sky, Star persons shine equally in all directions. This natural tendency of harmony and balance can become compulsion, motivating Star to be too agreeable and too generous, rejected gifts cause fear and resentment. When a Star believes it has been given too much, they are weakened or may even collapse. In this “Black Hole” state, Stars are prone to verbal jousting and arguing to force their point of view on everyone.
Cherokee, Rabbit/NOQUI’SEGWA: Symbol-Venus, The Morning Star cycle of 260 days and Evening Star cycle of another 260 days, inspired the 13 numbers, 20 Day sign Sacred Calendar. Rabbit is the Trickster of Cherokee culture, matching the Coyote in other nations. The personification of Light and New Life, Sunrise, the scion (a first-generation descendant) of the Moon-Father of earth children, the Rabbit is fertility, be fruitful and multiply. Represents softness, gentleness and vulnerability. LAMAT– Totem Rabbit. Energies of re-birth, regeneration, ripening, harvest and abundance. This person is overflowing with love energy in all areas of life. Spiritual growth is natural and with ease due to the unconditional love energy that flows.
