MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 2 calls us to express our Sacred Right of Choice. From our beginning in Unity, we move into Duality as an Expression of how we are Different. Under the guidance of the Deer/MANIK trecena, we are called to bring our Enlightened Mind and Spirit to a new Intention of Becoming.
Today we can find clarity for our Way forward through consideration of our unique perspectives. Our Transformation to a next Higher Level of Consciousness requires that we choose a Movement and Expression that reconciles our separation from the whole. Star/LAMAT will help us fire the Seed of a new Inspiration. As the Totem Rabbit, what we focus on will become prolific and be Multiplied to Abundance. Star also reminds us that we were created to be the Personification of Light.
I’m always inspired by the calendar’s ability to draw awareness to the presence of these energies in my daily life. I received a check for unused vacation days, paid by my employer at my work anniversary. The amount was more than I expected and upon closer inspection, I realize I’ve been overpaid. My Reasoning Mind immediately launched into a deliberation of what I should do. I wanted to keep it. I first thought of the good it could do, and reasoned how I deserved it. Then, from a Higher Perspective, I knew as a Conscious Choice I could never be “reconciled to the whole.”
Deer/MANIK is leading us to Move with a Higher Purpose. It begins with every Conscious Choice we make. As we Stand like the Deer in our own Power, we are held fast to our ever-present connection to Spirit. Our Choices hold the Power to open us to the Voice of Spirit, or to give Life to Lingering Shadows. What would we Choose to Multiply? Again, we throw out the Reasoning of the Mind in favor of our Spiritual Compass.
Deer/MANIK shows us that to be in Right Relationship with One Another, we must first maintain Right Relationship with Our Self. To Become the Creator’s Light in the World, we must move away from the Darkness of our Shadow.
Star/LAMAT brings the vibrant energy of regeneration. As a Yellow Day Sign, Star/LAMAT holds the energy of Completion so we may Shine our Light in all directions. Rabbit is also known as the trickster that moves in bursts of energy. We might be prepared for the unexpected.
May we see the Blessing in every opportunity we are presented with to Choose our Higher Purpose. The Moment we make the Right Choice we Know we are Standing in the Light. We create our own Evidence that our needs fall under the Protection of Divine Justice. The energy of Star/LAMAT will Multiply our Blessings to Abundance.
To all my relations, may our Path be cleared by the Clarity of Divine Purpose. May we hold fast to our Connection to Spirit as the True Source of our Abundance and Power. May we Fire a Seed of Intention to walk in Unity with the Whole. Don Alejandro, the Spiritual Leader of the Maya has reminded us, “We are all fingers of the same Hand.”

2 Star/LAMAT (Cherokee, Rabbit/NOQUI’SEGWA)
Galactic Tone 2: Mysterious as the question ‘to be or not to be?” Two is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds, light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Yin/Yang, is the energy of this number. Experiencing the differences between one and another is the use and purpose of this number.
Star/LAMAT: Star energy is multiplication of all things to abundance. Star has been associated with the fertility of rabbits for its ability to multiply. As each sun in the sky, Star persons shine equally in all directions. This natural tendency of harmony and balance can become compulsion, motivating Star to be too agreeable and too generous, rejected gifts cause fear and resentment. When a Star believes it has been given too much, they are weakened or may even collapse. In this “Black Hole” state, Stars are prone to verbal jousting and arguing to force their point of view on everyone.
Cherokee, Rabbit/NOQUI’SEGWA: Symbol-Venus, The Morning Star cycle of 260 days and Evening Star cycle of another 260 days, inspired the 13 numbers, 20 Day sign Sacred Calendar. Rabbit is the Trickster of Cherokee culture, matching the Coyote in other nations. The personification of Light and New Life, Sunrise, the scion of the Moon-Father of earth children, the Rabbit is fertility, be fruitful and multiply. Represents softness, gentleness and vulnerability. LAMAT– Totem Rabbit. Energies of re-birth, regeneration, ripening, harvest and abundance. This person is overflowing with love energy in all areas of life. Spiritual growth is natural and with ease due to the unconditional love energy that flows.
