6 Monkey / CHUEN – Journey of Change

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

6 Monkey / CHUEN

Greetings Kin,

At Tone 6 we enter Peak Energy that facilitates dynamic developments of all kinds. The energy of 6 is compared to the momentum of a great athlete in motion. We are positioning for accelerated progress through a pace, rhythm, and stride.

5 Dog/OC offered the Power to Change by Loving Ourselves as we already are. Who we will be tomorrow is made possible because of who we are today.

Tone 6 is a day of accomplishment in the 13-day trecena as our final effort to reach the “peak of the pyramid.” Monkey/CHUEN draws us into the process of change with the motivation of possibility.

Monkey/CHUEN is the Master of all Arts. Monkey is said to weave the tapestry of our lives into a thing of beauty by placing the colors of our experience in contrast.

The Dog and Monkey are noted for their affinity. Residing together at the Center of the Tzolk’in, they reflect the core means of our Transformation. Both find joy in everyday experiences and approach life without holding a judgement of the outcome.

The glyph illustrates “time rolled up” on the head of the Monkey. CHUEN’s ability to travel through time lends the perspective to believe that miracles are possible. Every moment offers us the opportunity to transform the story of our lives.

Monkey/CHUEN sees the big picture, understanding that the Truth of Who We Are can only be seen over Time. The memory of every experience holds a virtual storehouse of knowledge. We barely scratch the surface of all that we could learn.

A good place to start is reviewing the Major Life Changes in our past. Our life-altering experiences are well-recorded in our memory. We can draw deeper understanding from a new perspective. Our accomplishments hold greater evidence of possibility than our Ego’s assessment of our limitations.

We only have to travel back in time to significant changes to remember how we felt before.  The Hope that would drive our upward climb lies somewhere in our memory.

To all my relations, may we see how each new day holds the evidence of a miracle. May we seize the opportunity to manifest a life-altering change by letting go to move with the flow of Divine Intention.

“A Way opens before us. All obstacles and impediments are removed. Only that which is worthy and desirable moves forward with us.”  ~ Native American Blessing

6 Monkey/CHUEN (Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI)

Galactic Tone 6: Six is responsiveness and the art of negotiation. It is the movement of volume through space that creates time. This energy in action is like the art of dance or a great athlete in motion. Six facilitates dynamic developments in all aspects of life.

Monkey/CHUEN: Monkey is known to the Maya as the Weaver or Weaver of Time. Monkey takes ideas as threads of vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality. New patterns or inventions are also woven into our lives by Monkey. Amiable, intelligent, generous and a jack of all trades, Monkey’s innocent curiosity leads to artistic expression and constructive solutions. Many Monkeys become highly respected merchants or speakers. They love performing practical jokes and crave attention, so much so that they may over-act or play the fool to get the spotlight. Monkeys have a short attention span and find it difficult to stay with anything long enough to master it.

Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI: Star Symbol: Algol, a star in Perseus. Restless energy yearning for long-lost love. Algol was named DEMON STAR or MISCHIEVOUS ONE by the Ancients because it winks and fades at times. Raccoons are full of friendly mischief, eager to swap kisses for candy; magnetic leaders, full of humor and gaiety. Favorite food is corn, the mainstay of the Cherokee. Very artistic while being the “masked bandit” who steals your heart.

How is your Spiritual path today?

I love to hear from you. Share your thoughts on the day, your Day Sign, or just say Hi!
