4 Wind / IK – Spirit Revival: Day 4

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

4 Wind / IK

4 Wind / IK

Greetings Kin,

The first 3 Tones of the Storm/CAUAC trecena offered motivation to move forward with a new Intention. Today, the Tone 4 of Stability establishes a sense of orientation and direction. Galactic Tone 4 prepares a foundation to support our ongoing effort.

Wind/IK symbolizes the Breath of Spirit and the Breath of Life. Breath is the first Sign of Life. As we take our first Breath, we engage with Every Living Thing. We were designed so that our first experience of living would be a movement that connects us with the Whole.

As a White Day Sign of the North, Wind/IK resides in the place of our Ancestors and the Wisdom of their Experience. We will learn something fundamental to our Spiritual Revival from the Wisdom passed down by our Grandfathers.

We are called to build a foundation on the Element of our Closest Connection, the Element of Air. From our first breath to our last we Draw something from the Whole and we Give something back. The Revival of our Spirit exists in the space between each Intentional Breath… a Time and Place of Consciousness.

Our sight is a perception of vibration and frequency. Our colors are limited to a range of frequency the Human eye is capable to see. Our Senses of Spirit are limited in the same way. Sacred Breath offers a way to raise our Frequency and Vibration for a Higher Consciousness of our own Spirit.

Wind/IK is said to hold the energy of an inquiring mind. Those who were born under the Destiny Sign of Wind are Dreamers and Planners who employ the Power of their Imagination. As Einstein proved, Wisdom can be drawn from Experience whether Real or Imagined.

Whether it be a spoken prayer, a chant, or a song, this is a day to Center our Consciousness on our Breath and to use our imagination. Preparing ourselves for an experience of Spirit calls us to stop, check in with ourselves, and remember to take a breath.

To all my relations, may we greet the Natural World with Consciousness of the Blessing in every direction. May we listen for the Wind that carries the Voice of the Creator and seek the Way of Wisdom left by our Grandfathers. May we draw the Breath of Light, pausing to crystallize a moment of Pure Consciousness. On the out-breath may we share the Light and Beauty of our Unconditional Love.

4 Wind/IK (Cherokee, Whirlwind/AGALU’GA)

Galactic Tone 4: Stability; the cube is most stable of all forms and establishes volume by definition of height, length, depth and breadth; 4 directions establish orientation. The energy of 4 sets the parameters, which establish the freedoms and barriers needed to create a game, work, or relationship.

Wind/IK: Breath of Spirit, breath of life. Winds embody the power of dissemination and planting of good seeds or ideas. Dreamers and planners with powerful imaginations, Wind persons make great orators and they spread the word of spiritual inspiration as it is carried by the wind. Wind is the power behind the movement of natural cycles such as weather, erosion, and cultural change. As the wind, these persons are extremely changeable and adaptable. They may appear inconsistent or fickle to others. Wind can be destructive to self and others by putting on airs. When Winds strut and boast, expanding on facts and accomplishments, they are building the dark clouds of trouble that may become hurricanes.

Cherokee, Whirlwind/AGALU’GA: Whirlwind’s symbol is a double spiral helix in rising smoke. Wind brings energy for an Inquiring mind, learning and wisdom. In Cherokee, the constellations are represented by 12 birds (dancers), the 13th bird is the Whirlwind, the lead dancer. This reflects the whirling of life. Wind is the breath of the Universe (matching the Mayan symbol) channel of communication and carries the Sacred Smoke to the Great Spirit (Source- Hunab Ku in Mayan); matches the pulse of the breath of the Cosmos.
