MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
On Tone 13 of Ascension, the Serpent completes a Transformation of Spirit. At a new summit, we can see everything that could be.
Learning that Manifestation is Accomplished by the Power of our Imagination, we hold the unlimited possibility of Creation. We are capable to transform our entire experience of Living.
We walked between two worlds. Which one was real? We are Spiritual Beings having a Human Experience. Our Highest Spiritual Examples are the Ascended Masters who transcended in Life to the Realm of Spirit.
The Highest Horizon we could reach for is still beyond our Imagination. Yet, guided by Sense over Reason, what else might we expect as the final destination of a Spiritual Journey of Reaching for Oneness with the Creator?
THE WAYEB: Today begins the 19th month of the Haab (or Chol Ab’) calendar. The Haab is the solar calendar of 365 days used primarily for agriculture. The Haab is made of 18 months of 20 days, and a 19th month of 5 days, known as the Wayeb. Today is the first day of 5 days before the arrival of the Haab New year, February 20, 2017 (5 Wind/IK). The Wayeb is a time of special ceremonies and prayers for a new cycle of harvest. The Tzolk’in and Haab are linked energy cycles, given the Haab tracks the solstices, equinoxes, and seasons of Mother Earth, which directly influence the Human. A traditional Mayan date shows at least the Tzolk’in day and the Haab day, when sets a date in precision with the Haab 52-year cycle of 18980 days.
“The Wayeb is sometimes called “the time of no time,” a period of retreat and reflection on the year ending, and also time for clearing unfinished business. The Elders say that what we do on these 5 days of the Wayeb will affect our life in the coming year. This is Sacred Time to reinforce our communion with The Ancestors. It is also a time for spiritual cleansing, asking forgiveness for our mistakes, paying debts, and letting go of thoughts and feelings that are in lower vibration. This would be a time for cleaning the house and for throwing away old and broken things. This is a time of offerings and to help those who need help.” * Jen Soto
As the Wayeb begins, 13 Earth/CABAN calls us to renew our relationship with one another and with Mother Earth, so we can begin again in a good way. Through an Ascension we are capable to see the patterns of movement within which we are all One. Through a Portal we were able to see the Forces of Nature within us as part of who We Are. The Cherokee Day Sign, The Heron, is a creature of perpetual movement. The Aztec Day Sign is Ollin that simply means “Movement.” The Aztec define this as a good day for the “active principle” and a bad day for the “passive principle.” This is a day to make a Choice to move forward in synchronicity, renewing our “Sacred Yes” to the experience of life on Mother Earth.
As we emerge from a 10-day Portal of Spirit we complete an extended Sacred Ceremony. This would traditionally be a time for the Ceremonial Feast. We might celebrate our own feast from the bounty of Mother Earth, remembering to offer the first plate to Spirit. We would honor the gifts of Mother Earth that were presented at this Sacred Time.
In the tradition of the Sun/Moon dance (a ceremony born from the Spiritual Vision of Joseph Rael, “Beautiful Painted Arrow” of the Hopi-Tewa tradition), watermelon was often the first food offered after 4 days of fasting and ceremony. The main feast could be elaborate or simple, though the food was Honored, along with every hand that brought it to the table for a Sacred Moment when we say “Yes” to Life again. All life is sustained by Mother Earth. As we see ourselves as One in this “Circle of Life” we begin to understand the Power in our Relationship.
13 Earth/CABAN brings us to an Ascension that celebrates Earth’s Magic. Like the Earth we are made of the stars, and our lives are sustained by Earth’s Magic. When our physical bodies become One again with the Earth, our Spirits transcend to Oneness with the Creator, Creating Creation.
Wisdom/CIB guided us to our ascension through a Spiritual Correspondence with our Ancient Ancestors. There is more to their wisdom than just knowing what is beyond the veil. They hold the answers to our most personal mysteries. Through the energy of Ascension, 13 Earth/CABAN returns us across the boundary of time and dimension… we can leave our past behind.
The Bible speaks of the inequity of the father being visited upon his children’s children. The fear and doubt we carry are born from a legacy of Human disappointments. Few of us really know our own family secrets. Only our ancestors know the full history behind the experiences that shaped us and the “inequity” of the burdens we carry. Through forgiveness, we Honor the struggle of every generation.
A Native American tradition observes the practice of praying seven generations forward and seven generations back, our forgiveness should extend to our parents’ parents and their grandfathers and grandmothers. The prayers we would offer for our future generations are the same prayers our Ancient Ancestors offered for us… that we All would share the Joy of a Heavenly Ascension.
To all my relations, may we recognize that we are all part of One Divine Consciousness and a Living Spirit of interwoven memories. May we celebrate our Ascension as the Awakening of our Spirit that is capable to carry a blessing forward for the benefit of All. May we make a commitment to the New by Healing the Old we leave behind. May we give thanks for the lessons that were offered and look forward to a New Place in Time that is offered by our next Horizon. May we leave what is broken behind, to say “Yes” again to the Experience of Living, and the Journey between worlds that leads us to our Divine Human Destiny.
in lak’ech, i am another you

13 Earth/CABAN (Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI)
Galactic Tone 13: Ascension; Thirteen assists us to go to the next higher step, propels us to try something new or to try again. Thirteen energy takes us over the next mountain just to see what is there. Thirteen carries the last success to the newest effort. Thirteen is a number associated with the Ascended Masters, creation, expansion, and manifestation.
Earth/Caban: Earth/Caban: Keeper of the garden of Earth. Profound synchronistic connections to Earth’s natural cycles and energies provide power of creations and memories of ancient wisdom. Earth persons help dispel bad intentions, habits and ideas. This makes them very good counselors and masters of all arts. Studious and intelligent, Earth persons endeavor to bring a flow of natural order to all aspects of life. Being connected to the dynamic forces of nature, Earth persons need much liberty to facilitate their expression of migration or the sending of long distance communications such as the whales, elephants, birds and many other creatures. Sometimes Earth’s delicate sensitivities are upset resulting in quakes of emotion even the display of volcanic temper.
Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI: Sign of movement and perpetual motion, Heron is symbolized by Deneb, located in the Northern Cross beside the Milky Way. “The Northern Cross is the Tree of Life, Beside the Milky Way River & Perched atop is Guwi’ sguwi, the Cherokee Heron Spirit Bird, comparable to the Phoenix that rises from the ashes of the past.
