8 Serpent / CHICCHAN – Healing by Truth: Day 8

8 Serpent / CHICCHAN

Greetings Kin,

“Serpent lights the fuse that magnifies and explodes the life force itself.”

8 Serpent/CHICCHAN is one of the Holy Days marked by special observance as the celebration of Spiritual Strength. The Serpent is a catalyst that fires our Supernatural Senses – our “lightning in the blood.”

The preceding trecena, led under this Day Sign, initiated an Awakening of Spirit. Serpent’s return on Tone 8, the Holy Day of the trecena, leads the purpose of Divine Justice. What we learned to do on our own, now receives the collaboration of a Divine Agency. The Intention we carried forward to discover our own Truth, is now aided and renewed by an Experience of Spirit.

This is a day when we would feel the Stirring of Spirit within our body. A new awakening of our Spiritual Gifts bestirs our blood to speak.  Our sense of reason becomes secondary to an undeniable sense of Knowing. This inner stirring is related to the Kundalini energy. In the concept of Dharma, Kundalini (meaning “coiled one”) refers to a form of primal energy (or shakti) said to be located at the base of the spine that rises through the chakras of the Human Body. CHICCHAN represents the Life Force of our Spirit.

Divine Justice was made the Intention of the Creator’s most Holy Day. Serpent’s purpose on Tone 8 is to bring Justice through Harmony and Balance – supporting the principle of “As Above, So Below.” We are reminded that our Intentions of Spirit holds the Power to Effect the circumstances of our Earthy walk.

We accept the Truth of instinctual behavior in the animal world, though we can have more difficulty in recognizing these gifts within ourselves. Our Human challenge is the intellect that poses potential for our distraction. This is a gift we can only sense by paying attention. Though it may first be experienced as a subtle energy, as we acknowledge its presence and pay attention, its presence will be magnified.

The coincidences in our lives reveal our spiritual senses – times we picked up the phone just as a friend was about to call, or when we were guided away from a potential danger. Today we are gifted with the vision of our own Divine Nature. We were created so we may be guided by Spirit. This is the Peak Energy of this trecena that aligns a Divine Intention of God.

Serpent/CHICCHAN’s gift of seeing clearly has reminded me how I’ve looked outside myself to find the truth. In a time of such chaos where it’s hard to know what to believe, Chicchan would guide us to look within. If we took on the archetype of the Serpent, we would look to our own Senses for the Truth. We would respond from our Own Authority with fluidity and grace. This is not a time to look to guru’s, teachers, or pundits to find answers that Spirit has seated within. Teachers are only Intermediaries that help us to make a connection. The Truth that we are capable to live by, must be uniquely our own. We have to Know our Own Truth… and acknowledge it as our Authority that makes possible a Personal Gift of Divine Justice.

Our differences are important. We are stronger when we are not all on the same page, because here we have something new to bring to the whole. If we look outside ourselves, we risk all repeating the same story from a primary source we would likely never know.

To all my relations, may we light the candles on our sacred altars to honor the gift of Divine Spirit. May we accept our own Divinity as the greatest of all God’s gifts, empowering the most important purpose for our creation. May we be opened to receive an understanding that isn’t conveyed by words, but as Truth that is imparted through a gift of a Living Force of Spirit.

The 7th Uinal of Balance

CORE DAYS: The 7th Uinal of the Tzolk’in represent the center column of 20-days, which carry the Intention of Balancing. In the Center we are returned to Unity with the whole as our sense of duality comes into balance.  The Maya believed this to be the axis mundi – the center of the world that connects Heaven and Earth, where the four directions meet; where communication from lower realms may ascend to higher ones and blessings from higher realms may descend to lower ones and be disseminated to all. The Core Days may be experienced as a time of personal mystery as we recreate ourselves.

Galactic Tone 8:  Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eights carefully weighs all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement ‘as above, so below,’ from simplicity to infinity, the energy of eight organizes all levels of creation, some eights are ‘neat freaks.’

Serpent/CHICCHAN: Movement and the creation of time. Sensual and dramatic, this sun sign embodies intense instinctual wisdom and creates a connection from Earth bound, to Heavenly aspirations. By sincere service to others, Serpent opens and expands its heart. Serpent aligns authority and the truth to bring justice that is quick and sure. Serpents are very adaptable, even fluid until trapped in a corner, and then they explode. Serpents, venomous temper poisons itself as well as others by creating resentful, suppressive and even destructive attitudes.

Cherokee, Serpent/DO’TSI: Serpent’s symbol is Constellation Serpens. Serpent people are Sky people who come to earth periodically as Educators. As above-So below, on Earth the Serpent is the roots of the tree of knowledge. Serpent power is vital energy, the moving force, the instinct and desire for creativity, the trigger that sets off the action. It lights the fuse that magnifies and explodes the life force itself. Knowledge, combining science, technology and psychology, plus spirituality are seeded on the planet.
