10 Deer / MANIK – Healing by Truth: Day 10

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

10 Deer/MANIK

10 Deer/MANIK

Greetings Kin,

On Tone 10 we are positioned to Manifest our Identity as who we Choose to Become. We are guided by the Extended Hand of the Creator. Deer/MANIK is the Day Sign of the Mayan Priest, the energy of one who serves to connect us to our Source of Divine Power.

Deer/MANIK is the bringer of Spiritual Tools. We are given a Way or a new Understanding, that we can carry with us and turn to when we need a helping Hand.

Tone 10 carries a personal responsibility. What we focus on becomes real. Deer/MANIK would guide us to see the Transformation that is becoming Real within ourselves.

The 7th Uinal of BalanceCORE DAYS: We are nearly to the half-way point of a journey through the void of our unknown. The 7th Uinal in the Center of the Tzolk’in is compared to our own axis mundi, the center of our own universe where we are always perfectly positioned at the center of the 4 directions. The axis is the “line around which any body rotates.” Like a spinning gyroscope, we find our balance in a relationship shared between the Above and the Below. Holding a focus within the center of our Self, we reside in the place of perfect balance.

Today we can experience the Truth of a transformation by a Spiritual Gift that is offered by the Hand of our Creator. We must see it and claim it for this change to be seated in our Spirit. We each hold a vast resource for Transformation. Our growth is only limited by what we are able to see as Truth for ourselves. We are transformed through incremental steps of new understanding.

A new Truth can be discerned through a vigilant observation of our Self. Deer/MANIK is a Blue Day Sign of the West, the place of our Earthy Walk and the experiences upon which we can draw new Wisdom. Vigilance is one of Deer’s most important Spiritual Gifts of Personal Power. Deer is capable to Stand Silently in its own Power, by its vigilant observation in every direction. Deer always brings a reminder to be vigilant in observing our Self – our thoughts, reactions, and responses to life experience.

Today we can use the power of vigilance to discover something new that has manifested within ourselves. We would pay close attention to our experiences today to notice what has changed. It may be a situation or circumstance that elicited a standard response. By paying attention, we might discover that we see it in a new and different way. It no longer calls the old response. This is our evidence that we are manifesting a Spiritual Transformation.

Whenever we make a new change, the old ways are not so far behind as to be forgotten. To complete a permanent manifestation – we must acknowledge and claim the change we see as a Pillar of our New Truth. We must see it clearly enough for it to Stand by its own Power.

The Transformer, CIMI, presented us with choices of Life or Death. I realize my own recent preoccupation with my personal “life or death” issues as the “energy of transition.” The “new” being birthed awaits the death of the “old.”  We are all hovering in the “place between.” Yet, we can see a new energy emerging in the collective that is responding to the world and each other in a new way.

Deer/MANIK brings the Power to Transform the World through the Power of Harmonic Resonance. As we hold our own Center in Balance, we raise the frequency of our vibration. Through a vibration of Pure Love, the world can be entrained to respond with a vibration in sympathy and harmony.

What has changed in me? The substance of our Transformation can be found in the answer to that question. Our Understanding won’t become Wisdom by way of intellectual thought, but by the evidence in our response to the real experiences of our life. The direction of the West is a place of experience that triggers our emotions. Our Transformation isn’t seated in our Head, but in our Heart. Here, it effects lasting change we can draw upon by Instinct over Reason.

Deer/MANIK holds a new Spiritual Gift that is customized specifically to our need. When we face our feelings of l imitation, Deer brings the Spiritual Tool that’s needed. The Cherokee define the Deer as the Powerful Stag who finds its security in vigilantly standing still, and finds its motivation for movement in an opportunity to maintain its freedom.

To all my relations, may we walk again in the World of Spirit, to imagine the Divine Hand that reaches down from Above to Guide a Transformation of Love. Deer/MANIK would send out a vibration of higher frequency. We are called to follow in sympathy to be the Hand of God that stands ready to offer their service to someone in need. May we experience the Peace that is offered through a Higher Vibration of Love, so we can carry it forward to be multiplied to abundance.

in lak’ech, I am another you

SPIRIT TOOL INSPIRATION: I was inspired by a skeptic of spiritual gifts. If we kept a special journal of only the experiences of our “sixth sense” – our deja vu, premonitions, spiritual experiences, and coincidences – the truth of our gifts would become self-evident.

10 Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi)

Galactic Tone 10: Manifestation. What were once intentions or ideas, hopes or fears become physically present with the energy of Ten. What is focused upon with attention and intention becomes real with Ten. Ten is a powerful energy that carries a great responsibility.

Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.

Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions.  Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer:  A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician.  Ability to create harmonic resonance.

  1. I think I am in the being still and watching place”. There seemed to be a lot of motion, just a bit ago, in a direction that I believe will sometime manifest. Something happened and shut the motion down, for now. It really stunned me, and so I felt I ought to be still. I am no longer disappointed as I know I can trust the way to reveal itself when it ought to and only then, is the right time to proceed. However, how I wish I just KNEW right now!! haha! I love the intuition journal idea and will try that. Thank you Debra-your blog is a must read for me-even when the tab says “40 new posts” ! in lak’ech, Michele

  2. I have been reviewing yesterday’s post and re-reading today’s. I have similar thoughts as rabbit patch diary above–trust is there; but it’s just sometimes for me, a bit of self-doubt creeps in while waiting for the right time to proceed. I have found that “carrying on” (with even routine tasks) helps me during the stillness. Thank you for posting.

    • It’s so easy for doubts to creep in. Sometimes I spend weeks agonizing over a decision before I am willing to make a Leap of Faith. And, others – I still haven’t figured out what the leap is. my love, in lak’ech, Debra
