2 Road / EB – Recreating our World: Day 2

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

2 Road / EB

2 Road / EB

Greetings Kin,

Tone 2 brings an Energy for Discernment as we consider a new Sacred Intention. Monkey/CHUEN is leading a cycle of transformation that will raise our Consciousness to our Experience of Living. This is also Day 2 of a 21-day observance that acknowledges each of the 20 Days Signs that are leading us to a New Year. This is a time to consider a new effort to carry forward our integrity and authenticity of being.

Road/EB is the Day Sign of the Human. The glyph illustrates the Road of Destiny on Human’s head, to remind us that we are responsible for directing the course of our Life. Life is what we make it.

Tone 2 leads us to make a Choice. Tone 2 represents Duality, our Human way of seeing things as black or white, light or dark, and good or bad. In this choice we demonstrate the uniqueness of our “I Am.” Each of us sees things differently, based on our own life experiences. Tone 2 can bring a feeling of separation, as we are experiencing ourselves as different from the rest. Our choices become the way that we would be reunited with the Whole.

Our Human Destiny is our Journey. Our road is paved by our own Choices. The Flint/ETZNAB trecena raised an awareness to our Self. Our next higher level of Transformation is to see we ARE Living the Truth of who we Are. When we are distracted, we operate from our ego. When we are conscious, our Higher Self makes conscious choices. All our problems could be solved, just by paying attention to our Self in Relationship to the World We Create.

Tone 2 helps us see the difference between two choices. As we respond to life, we can remember there are MANY solutions and choices. We should always look beyond the first instinct, until we discern its Trueness to our Higher Self.

I had one of those experiences today that felt guided by the Monkey. A valiant effort I had made to do something special for my grandson’s birthday backfired when someone else bought the duplicate. The immediate response of my ego was an experience of a Victim. Monkey opened my heart to feel that feeling in all its living color. I realized the answer was as simple as a return to the store, but I had spun it into a fabric of powerlessness. Times of my life flashed by, visions of times I’d given up in defeat when there were easy answers.

I no longer felt defeated that these feelings. It’s okay to be broken, if the brokenness reminds me of my Sacred Right of Choice. Monkey painfully reminded me of this repeating pattern in my life. Yet, there was a Joy in the discovery that nothing had to change. Our Power is in Choosing the Response of our Higher Self.

Monkey/CHUEN encourages us to approach life as a game and to not take ourselves so seriously. We are given a lifetime of Choices and we can change them at any time. The Monkey pursues each experience as the most important in the moment. We can be guided by something in our relationships that has captured our attention by triggering our feelings.

Road/EB reminds us that our Destiny is made up of many small steps. Through small changes we can make a big difference over Time. As the Master of Time, Monkey inspects the threads of experience that make up the fabric of our life. We may be guided by looking to both the future and the past. We can see the progress that led us here and consider the new horizons made possible from a place of Higher Consciousness.

Road/EB is a Yellow Day Sign of the South, the direction of our Relationships. Road demonstrates its Humility as a way of being in Right Relationship. Those born under the Day Sign of Road are willing to sacrifice themselves to serve the needs of others. In Humility, the ego’s effort to present its illusion makes way to a Higher Self Identity.

To all my relations, may we Humbly accept the Truth of our Shadow. May we see how it serves to call awareness to the presence of an illusion. When we are drawn to powerless thoughts of ourselves, may we remember our Power to Choose. By Re-Membering this Truth, our eyes are open to unlimited answers. May our Offering of Unconditional Love be expressed in the Humility of our Brokenness – the Voice of Spirit, instead of responding in defeat – the Voice of Ego.

21 DAYS of CEREMONY: 1 Monkey/CHUEN marked 21 days to the K’iche Maya New Year celebrated on 8 B’atz (8 Monkey/CHUEN). Observing 21 days of prayer and sacred ceremony is a traditional preparation for the observance of the Tzolk’in calendar New Year, which is also the Initiation of the Mayan Daykeepers.

CORE DAYS: Kins 121-140 represent the 7th Uinal of Balance, the Core Days of the Tzolk’in as observed by Yucatec tradition. We complete the last 10 days of the Core Days under the Monkey/CHUEN trecena, moving to the 8th Uinal of Justice on 11 Crocodile/IMIX.

2 Road/EB (Cherokee, Rattlesnake Tooth/KANU’GA)

Galactic Tone 2: Mysterious as the question ‘to be or not to be?” Two is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds, light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Yin/Yang, is the energy of this number. Experiencing the differences between one and another is the use and purpose of this number.

Road/EB: The bearer of time and conductor of destiny; also known as Human; these persons open the road and guide to the future groups, communities and individuals alike. Likable, obedient, dedicated hard workers and organizers, Road persons are fortunate in business and travel. Many become care takers of the poor, sick, or old people, where they may make personal sacrifices. Road is sometimes referred to as the sign of grass, which is the most bountiful of all life forms, but is also the most humble. Road persons are affectionate and emphatic; they are easily hurt but slow to anger. Holding in of negative emotions and unexpressed resentment can lead to illness, a poisoned opinion of others and a false bravado for this sun sign.

Cherokee, Rattlesnake Tooth/KANU’GA: Symbolized by a rainbow, the delicate display of electromagnetic rays of the SUN. Rattlesnake Tooth is the Natal day sign of Medicine, the Shaman, the Priest, the Healer, and the Sorcerer.  Guardian of the Way, Keeper of the Keys of the secret Kingdom.
