4 Jaguar / IX – Recreating our World: Day 4

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

4 Jaguar/IX

4 Jaguar/IX

Greetings Kin,

Tone 4 brings the Intention of Stability by establishing a sense of orientation. The number 4 is related to the 4 directions and the 4 dimensions of height, length, depth and breadth of the cube – the most stable of geometric forms.

The purpose of Jaguar/IX is to help us set the parameters within which we are capable to Manifest an Intention of Right Relationship with one another and the world. Love is always a stabilizing force. The Jaguar is most noted for its Love of Mother Earth.

Jaguar guards the Sacred Sites where offerings are given and communion is sought with the Creator. These sites mark places of Spiritual Consciousness where Human has called for Communion with Spirit. By drawing the Mother’s Living Consciousness, this is where Jaguar senses the beating Heart of the Mother.

The Jaguar lives independently, except for the purpose of procreation. With Mother Earth as its primary companion, the Jaguar acknowledges Her as the Source of every blessing. As a Day Sign of the North, and acknowledged as the most Spiritual of all Day Signs, Jaguar represents a State of Spiritual Wisdom.

The Jaguar is a magical animal totem, or nuhaul, that is known as a shape-shifter.  Like the Monkey, the Jaguar holds special powers of Time Travel. The Jaguar is capable to lead us beyond the veil to share a Vision of the Future. We will find our stability by following the ways of the Jaguar.

The Jaguar sees the Earth as its Mother, recognizing that every part of itself is one and the same. Her water is the primary substance of our body. Our flesh is made of the elements of her soil. Our sustenance is born of Earth, by her magical way of bringing all things to life.

The magic of the Jaguar is born from its Spirit of Gratitude and Deep Appreciation for Mother Earth. As Beings of Energy and Vibration, holding the focus of Love, Gratitude, and Appreciation, Human emanates its Highest Frequency of Being. Sharing the vision of the Jaguar, our Highest Force of Nature calls lower vibrations into sympathy.

Jaguar is capable to see the unseen through senses that discern the vibration of all living things. Jaguars are seldom seen. Often their presence is only known by the footprints they leave behind. Tone 4’s Intention of Stability is guided by One who is aware of life forms in every direction. The Jaguar holds the power to lead us as a Guardian of Spirit. Jaguar senses our Vibration of Love and the Oneness of our beating heart. By holding Jaguar’s Vibration of Gratitude we exist in the fullness of our Being.

As we seek a way to bring our world into Harmony, Jaguar reveals how we also share the Mother’s Forces of Nature. We feel our Force in the Moments we fully embrace the Experience of Life. Everything around us is teaming with Life. We are Alive and One with a Living World.

A traditional way of receiving Healing from the Earth is to lay prone on her body. The Earth is capable to transform every thing it is given. The offering of our brokenness to Mother Earth solicits Her Healing Response. This is the resting place of the Jaguar.

To all my relations, may this be a day we offer ourselves to Mother Earth. May we find a way to draw close to feel the softness of her love beneath our bare feet, to see her beauty all around us, and to Know we exist together in Her Conscious Embrace. We are made of Her. As Her children, like Jaguar, she senses the Time and Place of our Conscious Moments. Through the Senses of the Jaguar, these are the Sacred Sites where we could feel the Heartbeat. May we Sense the fullness of life that surrounds us in every direction. May we be stabilized by remembering that the Vibration of Mother Earth is the substance of our REAL world – a Gift of the Creator and the place our Spirit calls Home.

in lak’ech, i am another you

21 DAYS of CEREMONY: 1 Monkey/CHUEN marked 21 days to the K’iche Maya New Year celebrated on 8 B’atz (8 Monkey/CHUEN). Observing 21 days of prayer and sacred ceremony is a traditional preparation for the observance of the Tzolk’in calendar New Year, which is also the Initiation of the Mayan Daykeepers.

CORE DAYS: Kins 121-140 represent the 7th Uinal of Balance, the Core Days of the Tzolk’in as observed by Yucatec tradition. We complete the last 10 days of the Core Days under the Monkey/CHUEN trecena, moving to the 8th Uinal of Justice on 11 Crocodile/IMIX.

    • Hi Jacqueline, Many times the “Moon Mothers” (teachers) would have you release emotion by laying face down on the earth – usually with a blanket thrown over you. It’s very healing and grounding – any direct contact with Earth. Teachers have shared the practice of eating a little dirt. And I’ve been in a sweat lodge when it was raining where most of the ceremony was seated in a puddle where we painted ourselves in the dark.Earth. Good. LOL I’m heading to bed, but will stop by your party tomorrow. Hmmm I’ll have to think of something inventive to bring. 🙂 Blessings, Debra
