12 Wind / IK – Recreating our World: Day 12

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

12 Wind/IK

12 Wind/IK

Greetings Kin,

Tone 12 brings the intention of Understanding. We’re empowered to transform the knowledge of new experience into a Personal Truth. Through our capacity for Retrospection, all the pieces are brought together that would elevate us to a New Consciousness.

Wind/IK represents the Breath of Life and Breath of Spirit. The world was created from the Spoken Intention of the Creator.  So will the world we Create be brought to Life in the Likeness of our Spoken Definition.

Under the previous trecena of Flint/ETZNAB, we were given 5 Wind/IK to Empower our own “I Am.” We learned that our gift of Free Will allows us to Create what We Would Be. The Power of the Wind is returned to us now so we may Bring to Life a world of our Choosing.

The Intention of Tone 12 always reminds me of the last scene of a movie. An entire plot carries us to a conclusion that is only made clear at the end. Suddenly, unanswered questions are resolved and the final details offer the moral of the whole story.

Yesterday, our Primordial Mother drew thoughts out of nowhere that would inspire our imagination. As I greeted the light of a new day, the spontaneous thought that sprung into my own consciousness was “Life is Good.” In all my effort to Love and Appreciate the world around me, I couldn’t remember the last time my thoughts had boiled it all down to this most basic assessment. My thought wasn’t related to any specific thing. It wasn’t born of an accomplishment, nor did it arrive as a conclusion from current circumstance. It came from a place within that Sensed the Beauty of Living.

As Human, our bodies were given the Gift of Life. The Spark that was the Gift of Spirit seated the Consciousness to Experience every part of Our Self. Given the Breath of Life and Spirit, we were even given our own Power to Define it. Life IS Good. The Creator offered us a Power equal to its own to choose what we make of it.

As we are again guided by the Wind, our Consciousness is directed to our Power held in the very words we speak. Like Monkey/CHUEN who weaves the tapestry of our life into a thing of Beauty, we could declare the Beauty of every Thread.

Wind is changeable. Its direction can change at any moment. We don’t ever have to follow the same course we’ve taken. We are free to be Different than we were yesterday. And, whatever direction we choose, we are given a new Experience of Living upon which we can make New Choices Tomorrow.

The Cherokee Day Sign of the Whirlwind reflects the Whirling of Life and a double-helix that carries the Voice of our Prayers to the Great Spirit. This is a day to Speak into Being our most Beautiful Reflection on the World we have chosen.

To all my relations, may we consider the open landscape of our own Life’s Journey. We were given a choice in how we would experience every part of it. We can change our direction at any moment. May we claim the Beauty of the Choice born on the Breath of Spirit. We could crown the beauty of every moment through the simple declaration that “Life is Good.” May we be filled with the Gratitude and Wonder of this simple Truth. May we bring new Life to our Power of Choice through a Spoken Prayer that claims the Truth of the Gifts we were given, acknowledging this Sacred Choice was imagined for us in the Mind of a Creator.

21 DAYS of CEREMONY: 1 Monkey/CHUEN marked 21 days to the K’iche Maya New Year celebrated on 8 B’atz (8 Monkey/CHUEN). Observing 21 days of prayer and sacred ceremony is a traditional preparation for the observance of the Tzolk’in calendar New Year, which is also the Initiation of the Mayan Daykeepers.

NEW UINAL: 11 Crocodile/IMIX began the 8th Uinal of Divine Justice. The Higher Intention for this 20-day cycle is to establish the Justice of Harmony and Equity.

12 Wind/IK (Cherokee, Whirlwind/AGALU’GA)

Galactic Tone 12: Understanding. This number’s energy is a gift of great capability of retrospection. It is this ability that allows Twelve to connect disassociated parts into a (new) functioning whole. The energy of Twelve is that which presents a new piece of understood information or accumulated experience to be applied.

Wind/IK: Breath of Spirit, breath of life. Winds embody the power of dissemination and planting of good seeds or ideas. Dreamers and planners with powerful imaginations, Wind persons make great orators and they spread the word of spiritual inspiration as it is carried by the wind. Wind is the power behind the movement of natural cycles such as weather, erosion, and cultural change. As the wind, these persons are extremely changeable and adaptable. They may appear inconsistent or fickle to others. Wind can be destructive to self and others by putting on airs. When Winds strut and boast, expanding on facts and accomplishments, they are building the dark clouds of trouble that may become hurricanes.

Cherokee, Whirlwind/AGALU’GA: Whirlwind’s symbol is a double spiral helix in rising smoke. Wind brings energy for an Inquiring mind, learning and wisdom. In Cherokee, the constellations are represented by 12 birds (dancers), the 13th bird is the Whirlwind, the lead dancer. This reflects the whirling of life. Wind is the breath of the Universe (matching the Mayan symbol) channel of communication and carries the Sacred Smoke to the Great Spirit (Source- Hunab Ku in Mayan); matches the pulse of the breath of the Cosmos.

    • I don’t always understand, but I can approach something with the intention to… like being open to understanding. Does that make sense. I know I throw “Intention” around a lot… plus, good intentions do have value in my way of thinking – we get credit for trying. 🙂
