2 Serpent / CHICCHAN – Engaging our Dynamic Potential: Day 2

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

2 Serpent / CHICCHAN

Greetings Kin,

Serpent/CHICCHAN “lights the fuse that magnifies and explodes the life force itself.”  Like the Seed, Serpent is also a symbol of energetic forces called “lightning in the blood.” CHICCHAN is a wake-up call to our Intuitive Senses, and is the Day Sign that precedes each of the 10-day portals on the Tzolk’in.

CHICCHAN can ignite our Supernatural Senses as we enter a Portal that gives us a Vision beyond a veil. We have been feeling the energies close to our Core to find our Balance. This Portal is held in an Intention of Divine Justice. This is the Power and Intention that would manifest the Fullness of our Human Birthright.

Tone 2 presents us with our Sacred Choice for a new Intention. Through the reflection of Duality, we make a choice “to be or not to be.” Even the engagement of our Dynamic Capabilities is a Choice of Free Will. Something will call us, whether it is a new direction, a new way of living, or an old Dream we Loved but never Believed enough. We will Know what it is.  Today we consider how it would be accomplished, what it could look like, and whether we Love it enough to offer our dedicated commitment. We use our faculties in consideration of a Choice.

As a Red Day Sign, CHICCHAN holds a purpose of initiating something new. The Serpent is fluid and flexible, making it capable of responding effortlessly to change. Just as a snake sheds its skin, we are able to leave the confinement of our old patterns so we can expand into something new.

The Seed/KAN trecena is guiding us to the next Higher Level of Consciousness. The Number 8 is said to be a number of “Pure Spirit.” In the center of the 8th Uinal on the 8th Tone is a Holy Day of Initiation that asks us to make a personal commitment to our Self. Our most important Choice is the Commitment we would make toward an Intention of Being Present. We could see something clearly in our Self that we’ve never seen before.

No matter our Choice we will be led to an Ascension of Divine Wisdom (13 Wisdom/CIB). Our Awareness will be raised to our own dynamic nature.  Given a Time for Every Purpose, a Spiritual Transformation of Human is marked by the number 8, a symbol of Infinity, Abundance, and the Promise of Divine Justice.

1 Serpent/CHICCHAN asks us to make a new choice. Not a little choice, but a very big choice… in the thing we would REALLY LOVE. We will have Divine Agency to help us.

CHICCHAN’s “lightning in the blood” is a Source of Healing Energy that we can Feel. We can experience something new in ourselves if we take the time to pay attention to the Senses within our Body. By listening to Every Sensation in the Body, we will recognize even more.

The world reflects that dynamic changes are happening all around us. This is evidence of the dramatic transformation we, as Human, are capable of now. Anything is possible. We are asked to See our Self to Know, “what is it I wish I were doing right now?”

To all my relations, we are given a the Great Potential to Manifest a dearly held Dream. We have an opportunity to Experience the Power within our Self. May we consider what we would dedicate of our Time and Effort to be Present in the Moment for the Full Experience.

2 Serpent/CHICCHAN (Cherokee, Serpent/DO’TSI)

Galactic Tone 2: Mysterious as the question ‘to be or not to be?” Two is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds, light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Yin/Yang, is the energy of this number. Experiencing the differences between one and another is the use and purpose of this number.

Serpent/CHICCHAN: Movement and the creation of time. Sensual and dramatic, this sun sign embodies intense instinctual wisdom and creates a connection from Earth bound, to Heavenly aspirations. By sincere service to others, Serpent opens and expands its heart. Serpent aligns authority and the truth to bring justice that is quick and sure. Serpents are very adaptable, even fluid until trapped in a corner, and then they explode. Serpents, venomous temper poisons itself as well as others by creating resentful, suppressive and even destructive attitudes.

Cherokee, Serpent/DO’TSI: Serpent’s symbol is Constellation Serpens. Serpent people are Sky people who come to earth periodically as Educators. As above-So below, on Earth the Serpent is the roots of the tree of knowledge. Serpent power is vital energy, the moving force, the instinct and desire for creativity, the trigger that sets off the action. It lights the fuse that magnifies and explodes the life force itself. Knowledge, combining science, technology and psychology, plus spirituality are seeded on the planet.

  1. Good morning dear Debra! Thank you for another inspiring message, which reminds us to be fluid with change. As it would happen, this morning while listening to my Pandora station “Positive Mojo,” I heard an Eric Clapton song that I’ve never heard before, called “Everybody Oughta Make A Change.” I’ve had it on repeat for the last half hour. It makes change sound fun! Here’s a live version that I found. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZE_ublgroXo

    • Good morning dear Sonja! Thank you for sharing the video link – good inspiration for the day. I woke with the idea that my changes could be easier than I’ve made them out to be. Taking that as a positive sign. Wishing easy change for everyone! much love, in lak’ech, Debra
