8 Monkey / CHUEN – Engaging our Dynamic Potential: Day 8

Happy Maya New Year

8 Monkey/CHUEN (8 B'aatz)

8 Monkey/CHUEN – 1st of 260 glyphs

Greetings Kin,

Today, 8 Monkey/CHUEN (8 B’aatz) is celebrated as the beginning of the New Year in the K’iche Maya tradition. A Meditation with the Count of Days is offered under a special New Year page Mayan Calendar menu.

Tone 8 is the Holy Day of the trecena. The Intention of the Seed/KAN trecena is to Raise our Awareness to our Dynamic Nature. Human was born from a Seed of Intention held in the Mind of the Creator… a Vision of a Divine Imagination.

Monkey is the Weaver of Time and Master of all Arts who creates the Tapestry of our Lives. Monkey can help us re-member that the Creator’s Vision was a thing of Beauty.

Today is the 8th Tone in the 8th Uinal, magnifying the Intention of Divine Justice as we journey through a Portal. Divine Justice is the fulfillment of the Creator’s Intention that we are able to live in Harmony and Equity. Today, we could experience a Sense of Knowing that a Divine Agency is working on our behalf. 8 is the number of infinity and abundance.

PORTAL DAY: This is day 6 of our 10-day journey through a Spiritual Portal that thins the veil to other dimensions. The Portal magnifies our Senses to raise our Consciousness to Divine Support and our own Dynamic Nature. Portal Days hold the potential for mystical experience. As the day of Homecoming, a return to our beginning, a Portal magnifies our Awareness of a Divine Agency that Celebrates our Return and our new Gifts of Illumination.

Tone 8 begins the process of a new Transformation from our experiences of this trecena. Illustrated as the beginning of a descent from the top of a pyramid, our energy is shifted as Unseen Forces draw us toward a new Ascension.  Monkey/CHUEN guides Divine Justice to Create something of Beauty.

As we see how Monkey/CHUEN weaves the tapestry of our lives, we see how Beauty is Created as threads of Dark and Light are woven together. We can also imagine how through our experiences of Relationship, all our lives are woven together in the Journey of Life.

The Maya New Year is the day of an initiation to those who follow the path of the Daykeeper. Through a Divine Covenant, a Blessing of Initiation is given. Today we can Initiate our Self onto a new Path of Purpose.

We were created for a Divine Relationship. Our most Sacred Commitment would be a Choice that would a commitment of our Time to a Divine Relationship. In Covenant with the Creator, we are offered the Promise of Divine Justice. There are an unlimited number of Ways we can demonstrate a commitment. My encouragement is to choose something you will see yourself doing every day for a determined period of time – whether it be a week, a trecena, a month or a 260-day round of the Tzolk’in. Your commitment is promised to return a blessing.

My Story of the Tzolk’in Calendar…

new year fire 2016-blog

The New Year Fire burns for all of us!

I was drawn to the Mayan Calendar because it offered a Good Orderly Direction that was related to every experience of living. It was a calendar of creation of unlimited application. It provided a structure upon which to exercise my own faith. I made a Heart connection through the synchronicity it related to my own daily experience. The calendar allows me to see my own Spiritual Growth.

520 days ago on 8 Monkey/CHUEN I made the commitment to publish this Journal for each of the 260-days (October 18, 2015). My own Darkness inspired me to seek Light through an application of the Tzolk’in calendar. My own Spirit called me to make a commitment to SOMETHING I could watch myself doing every day. I needed my own evidence that I was worthy of Divine Justice.

I had been convinced there was nothing further I was capable to accomplish. Over the course of my first 260 days, I acquired the Belief that I had my own Right to Be. Experiences over the second 260 days have made me realize that what I am learning is only the beginning of discovering my own Power.

Because I journal a calendar, I am aware of my change every day. I’m aware that I no longer wake up in the morning to thoughts of fear. Instead, I wake to thoughts of inspiration. I’m no longer afraid to drive across town. I know this blessing every time I get into the car. These were symptoms of depression I never thought were Subject to Change. Through Intentions of Spirit, they are finally left in my past. Of all the blessings I could share, these seem like two small things, yet they are Gifts I remember at the beginning of every day.

Today is a day of Commitment as a Covenant with the Creator. We each have something unique we could commit to Spirit Time. Divine Justice is the Promise of our Reward, the Intention of the Creator that we live in Harmony with One Another and the Natural World… no less than Peace on Earth.

The Passion I carry today is born of an experience of brokenness. When I first opened my heart to the Creator, I shared everything I saw as broken, along with my sadness that I “didn’t deserve” the Blessing. I heard this answer in my Heart, “I’ve seen every heartache. I know every injustice. I’ve know every burden you’ve ever carried. You deserve Every Blessing.” Suddenly, everything I’d held against myself was released by a blessing of Divine Grace.  That’s the Gift I would hope to share with You, so you would know you deserve every blessing.

To all my relations, we stand in a new beginning. May we give thanks that we can change the patterns in our tapestry at any time, and for the many Gifts of the Creator. May we offer a Moment of Silence to Acknowledge the Creator, and the Ancestors who preserved the Sacred Wisdom. And, on the 8th Tone of the 8th Uinal, may our eyes be open to the evidence of Divine Justice.

May Your Joy Be Multiplied to Abundance as you walk the round ahead. And, as a new sunrise dawns, may you know that my Love was sent around to You on the Sun. Happy New Year!

in lak’ech, i am another you

8 Monkey/CHUEN (Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI)

Galactic Tone 8:  Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eights carefully weighs all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement ‘as above, so below,’ from simplicity to infinity, the energy of eight organizes all levels of creation, some eights are ‘neat freaks.’

Monkey/CHUEN: Monkey is known to the Maya as the Weaver or Weaver of Time. Monkey takes ideas as threads of vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality. New patterns or inventions are also woven into our lives by Monkey. Amiable, intelligent, generous and a jack of all trades, Monkey’s innocent curiosity leads to artistic expression and constructive solutions. Many Monkeys become highly respected merchants or speakers. They love performing practical jokes and crave attention, so much so that they may over-act or play the fool to get the spotlight. Monkeys have a short attention span and find it difficult to stay with anything long enough to master it.

Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI: Star Symbol: Algol, a star in Perseus. Restless energy yearning for long-lost love. Algol was named DEMON STAR or MISCHIEVOUS ONE by the Ancients because it winks and fades at times. Raccoons are full of friendly mischief, eager to swap kisses for candy; magnetic leaders, full of humor and gaiety. Favorite food is corn, the mainstay of the Cherokee. Very artistic while being the “masked bandit” who steals your heart.

Seed/KAN Trecena: Galactic Portal DaysGREEN DAY: Today is the second of 10 consecutive “Galactic Activation Portals” that will magnify our experiences. This is a thinning of the veil, that remains open for 10 consecutive days. The trecena of Seed/KAN has the power to bring forward the conscious awareness of the inherent power of Spirit through the 5th Element of Ether.

How is your Spiritual path today?

I love to hear from you. Share your thoughts on the day, or share your local energy report.
