7 Night / AKBAL – Discovering Our Dynamic World: Day 7

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

7 Night / AKBAL

Greetings Kin,

At Tone 7 we reach the Peak of our Climb. Tones 1 through 6 represent the cycle of Spiritual Growth within each 13-day trecena. The Experiences that carried us here are the balancing measure for a Transformation guided by Divine Agency. Tone 7 holds the intention of Reflection. Given a 360 view from the top of a pyramid, we have a broader perspective on the Experiences that will serve to Define a New Truth.

We are greeted by Night/AKBAL, the Day Sign that Divides the Darkness from the Light. Night/AKBAL guides us through the Darkness that leads us to a New Day. As a symbol of Spirit that Speaks to us in our Dreams, AKBAL works to dispel our subconscious fears of the Unknown. Holding a Point of Light in the darkness, AKBAL holds the torch that would light our way.

Mystical experiences are associated with AKBAL as it makes a connection between our Intelligence and Intuition. AKBAL connects us to higher dimensions and speaks to us through our dreams.

Tone 7 is associated with the Source of Creation as the Flow of Divine Will. Through a Choice to align our Free Will with a Divine Intention of the Creator, 7 holds the Promise that our Effort will receive a Blessing of Divine Reciprocity. Every effort that we apply to an Intention shared by the Creator is Acknowledged and returned by a Higher Level of Consciousness. Each climb expands the Vision of the Dream for Us that was conceived in the mind of the Creator.

AKBAL is a Blue Day Sign of the West, the direction of our Daily Walk into the Unknown Experiences of Living. Our fear of the Unknown is a Human Instinct. Our Shadow fears what it cannot see. AKBAL connects us to Spirit that would remind us that Mother Earth was born from the Void, and that this is the True Place of All Possibility. We are reminded that Dreams born in Darkness are the Source of Every Creation. As a Blue Day Sign, AKBAL speaks to us with words that touch our Heart. As we release our Darkest Fears, a Voice in our Heart can dispel an Illusion of Ego.

AKBAL guides us to Dream our Dream. AKBAL’s Light is the Truth that the Creator gave us the Power to make our Dreams Come True. We don’t have to see or understand all the Ways our Dream would come together. As long as we Keep Moving Forward with Intention, we offer continued Life to a Vibration that can Find its own Way of becoming.

AKBAL can be experienced as a “dreamy” energy. We may be drawn to Dreaming, whether asleep or awake. As we find our thoughts drifting on a train of thought, we could recognize the Divine Source that inspired them. AKBAL offers us the opportunity to ask the questions we don’t have the answers to.

Years ago, I was inspired by a teaching about the Power of Asking the Right Questions. It was offered as a Way to silence the Fear of the Reasoning Mind. Our Ego would draw our consciousness to all the Truth of the obstacles in our Way. We tell ourselves all the reasons a Dream could fail. The solution was as simple as training ourselves to ask the right questions. Instead of thinking, “I can’t,” the Truth of an Illusion is broken by the question, “How can I?” A miracle of our subconscious mind is that when given a question, it will work to produce an answer. We were given a Source of Light in our Total Darkness. AKBAL can shed the Light as we open our Mind in Faith that an Answer Can Be Given. Spirit holds every answer we would ever need to know.

To all my relations, may we open ourselves to the Light in the Darkness, and offer our Thanks for everything Unknown. May we recognize that “not knowing” is not the sign of “impossible,” but in Truth is the Void from which Every Dream is Born into Creation. May we draw consciousness to our Inner Voice and be Balanced in the Faith that the Answers are Promised when we re-member to Ask the Question. AKBAL can dispel the limiting thoughts of all the ways “we can’t” and lead us to the Answer and the Truth of the Way “we can.” May we pay attention to our Dreams, Intuition, and Feelings, and re-member the Way of our Mother Earth, who is perpetually moving us to the Light of a New Dawning. And may we also remember the Gift of the Creator that Created a Balance of Darkness and Light.

in lak’ech, I am another you

7 Night/AKBAL (Cherokee, Hearth/O’YA)

Galactic Tone 7: Reflective; 7 stands as the mirror to divide light and dark and reflect all that is and is not. 7 is associated with the source of creation and the flow of divine will. 7 establishes the purpose to current and future goals.

Night/Akbal: Bringers of the Dawn. Dreamers who bring the new sun to clarify and illuminate the road of life. Thus the insecurities and doubts born of darkness of the sub-conscious mind are dispelled. These persons travel the Void… a place where nothing yet exists but all potential dwells, the womb of creation. From this void, Night persons bring forth new solutions and artistic inspiration. Night’s voyages of dreams build confidence and happiness with a sense of well being. If night does not bravely journey into the void they may find themselves wandering the darkness of self doubt and insecurity.

Cherokee, Hearth/O’YA: Hearth’s symbol is the fire pit in the Center, velvet black as the night. The triangle in Orion. The M42 nebula (home of the Central race from the WingMakers) in the center of the triangle of Orion is the fire in the Hearth, also matching the Mayan. The Hearth is the Torchbearer who holds the light and warmth throughout the night.

[Text in italics was the primary source of inspiration for my journal. These are the sources that started my journey and they are the reference for interpretation each day. By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources. Links to sources and other resources of study are offered on the Daykeeper Resources Page.
