MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 4 brings stability for the new Spiritual Growth ahead. Storm/CAUAC calls us to the Sanctuary of Home, the center within that offers a place of safety and protection from the chaos of the world.
Our “home within” is the storehouse that holds all our Acquired Wisdom. No matter what experiences or challenges we face in the world, our stability and comfort can be drawn from the Truth we already know. By drawing all our Wisdom from Experience, the Truth that offered comfort is permanently stored in our Heart.
Storm/CAUAC offers us a renewal through the Forces of Regeneration. Storm is the Day Sign of lightening and thunder. CAUAC brings the gift of Nitrogen that nourishes us to grow. We may feel shaken and a little off-balance by the “hard truth” that Flint made known. A gift of Storm is to demonstrate to us how resilient we are.
On Wisdom/CIB’s Journey to Higher Learning, we are guided by the Old Ones who have walked this way before. Their first lesson was to walk in the Integrity of our Truth. They know there will be some “hard truths” to face. They also remember the initial feelings of damage when we face unpleasant truths about ourselves, as well as other painful experiences that are inevitable in a process of Acquiring Wisdom.
As Storm/CAUAC inspires us to run for the cover of Home, we are returned to the place of our Inner Treasure – the “acres of diamonds” that are buried within. We can always find renewal by re-visiting our Center where our Treasures of Truth are stored.
Storm is a Blue Day Sign of the West, the place of our Experiences of Living. It is the place of the Unknown where we must willingly enter into the darkness. West is the direction of the Experiences that touch our Emotions, and can also stir the Fears of our Ego. The Cherokee Day Sign Redbird represents the presence of “lightning energy” in the sky. This is the Force of “lightning in the blood” that speaks directly through our Feelings and Senses.
Storm/CAUAC is a Day Sign of perpetual youth that exists to experience the ecstasy of freedom. Storm’s lightning is a display of the freedom of unbridled energy. Storm restores our youthful enthusiasm to face life’s challenges as an adventure. We’re renewed and restored to our childlike faith, knowing that whatever trouble we get into, we can always run for the Safety of a Home Within.
Home is the place where stories are told. We might hear the story of the first gift we were given, Mother Earth, and how she was designed as a place of beauty to reflect the Love of the Creator. We could recount how no matter what direction we go, the Sun always rises to a new day each morning. We can revisit how painful experiences from our past were transformed into Blessings as Cornerstones of Truth.
The Creator’s intention was for us to become the authentic version of who we are. This is the fundamental reason we were guided to walk in our own Integrity. This wasn’t a challenge to be perfect, but the Challenge of Being Who We Are. We are being shown that this is the Path to Higher Consciousness and the Wisdom of our Self.
The Old Ones who walked this way before, remember how difficult “being ourselves” can be. They remember the vulnerability of expressing our Truth, when at the same time, we Desire to be One with the Whole. We must dare to be seen in all the ways we are different. The Old Ones offer a vision of the ecstasy of freedom that calls us to live like children… with the unbridled freedom of Living Free from Fear.
When we’re shaken by life’s experiences, our safety and joy is always waiting at home in the Treasure of our Truth. The Unconditional Love of the Creator is our candle in the window that can always be seen in the darkness, and that emanates a Love so Great that it’s more than enough to Mend a Broken Heart.
To all my relations, may we seek to face life as children, living in the innocence of our authenticity. May we expect some bumps and scrapes that are an inevitable part of our adventure. May we not let that deter us from being who we are, nor take it as a sign of something lacking. Instead, like children, may we run home with the prize of a new experience to share… showing our scars proudly as the embellishment of our story. May we look through all the treasures we’ve saved, and know that this one too can be shined up and transformed into the Beauty of our Wisdom.

SHARING MY LATEST 3 FLINT/ETZNAB STORY:
My faith is restored that Flint can deliver good news too. I’ve been preoccupied over a check I was due to receive, lost in the mail last month. I was now also late making a payment… hovering over the mailbox for the past 3 days. There is always shame response related to late payments. It always seems a monumental effort to arrive at a conclusion to just CALL and ask for a postponement. I needed to feel that liberation of facing adversity, standing in my truth. The fear lifted the moment I picked up the phone. It inspired me to face some other piles on the desk I had been avoiding. There in a stack of mail was the lost check. It was an unexpected miracle. All this worry and it was right there. I’m claiming that Wisdom/CIB – an education led by the Old Ones – will be a gentle journey, cause they’ve walked this road before. 🙂 I hope your Flint brought good news. in lak’ech, Debra

4 Storm/CAUAC (Cherokee, Redbird/TOTSU’HWA)
Galactic Tone 4: Stability; the cube is most stable of all forms and establishes volume by definition of height, length, depth and breadth; 4 directions establish orientation. The energy of 4 sets the parameters, which establish the freedoms and barriers needed to create a game, work, or relationship.
Storm/Cauac: Day of the blessing of rain, giver of all life and lightening, a gift of nitrogen to Mother Earth and ozone to Father Sky. Cauac is also associated with the moon and the cycles of the moon, which are the meter of the feminine aspect of creation. The essence of Storm is the feeling of unity, security and warmth experienced in the home while the tempest of trouble rages in the world outside. Perpetually youthful, Storms exist to experience the ecstasy of freedom. They have the great capacity to both learn and teach. Their constant quest for novel experiences often leads to difficult tests and storms of emotion. Looking at these difficulties for the lessons they indeed are, will enrich our lives rather than destroy. Cauac individuals teach much through their electricity of being. Lightning energizes earth, this same energy energizes humans. Divine connections can be accessed.
Cherokee, Redbird/TOTSU’HWA: Redbird’s symbol is Alcyone of the Pleiades Star in constellation Taurus. Alcyone is the Central Sun of the Universe, heart of heaven. Lightning is the visible evidence of the presence of Redbird Spirit in the Sky, daughter of the Sun Spirit, sign of Fire, Sun’s alter ego on Earth. Redbird is a feminine sign; the hand that rocks the cradle. The symbol of nurturing, the lightning nurtures and energizes, with energy for zest, curiosity, imagination, and ideas. Lightning adds spiritual force to the human by way of “lightning of the blood” of a healer, directly body to body vibration. The key to spiritual communication and access to the wisdom of the Ancestors lies in the ability to bestir the blood to speak. Sacred stones such as flint, obsidian, crystal are created by lightning striking the ground.
