3 Monkey / CHUEN – Journey as One: Day 3

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S BLOG

3 Monkey / CHUEN

Greetings Kin,

Tone 3 brings the Intention of Movement. An idea moves from Spirit into the physical world. When we share our idea or take action toward it, we create an energy and vibration. It’s no longer just our thought.

When we share an idea, we Create an Experience. Through a Call we solicit a Response to both the Idea we share, and the Experience of Being Told. When we take action, we see an Idea following its own course that moves us from one step to another. That’s why Love goes hand-in-hand with Creation, we have to Love the Idea Enough to be willing to take the next step.

Monkey/CHUEN models a way of movement that releases us from our Emotional Bondage. CHUEN is the Master of all Art and the Weaver of Time, a Creator who’s movements are Inspired by the Imagination. The Weaver of Time creates the Tapestry of our Life, seeing each experience as a thread in a larger picture.

Positioned together, Dog and Monkey reflect the Creator’s Central Identity by their Divine Purpose and Intention. Love was the Creator’s Divine Inspiration, and Monkey is the Movement that would Create the Human Experience of Love. When we are Moved by Love, we create a thread of Beauty… a Human Experience of Love.

PORTAL DAY: Element of Ether
Dog and Monkey share Portal Days together. 2 Dog/OC is a Portal and so is 3 Monkey/CHUEN. On Portal Days the veil between dimensions is thin. Our Spiritual Experiences are magnified, just as Dog and Monkey magnify each other. We are in a place of a Divine Inspiration of Movement that will magnify a Spiritual Experience. (This is what I was in process of writing when my half-finished-unedited post was “accidentally” published. I found humor in the synchronicity that Monkey jumps in to be posted on the same day as Dog…. a Monkey Photo Bomb.)  🙂

Monkey is curious and Plays with Ideas, observing what is Beautiful or Intriguing. Monkey is always moving. As a Divine Creator, Monkey understands that time stands still Without the Movement that Would Create the next Experience. The glyph illustrates “time rolled up” on the top of Monkey’s head.

Dog and Monkey share an affinity in their position. Not alone, but together, they represent the center of the Tzolk’in. As it relates to time, the absolute center of the Tzolk’in’s 260-days are in the hours when Dog and Monkey meet at Sunset, between Kin 130 (13 Dog) and Kin 131 (1 Monkey). 13 Dog is an Ascension of Unconditional Love and 1 Monkey is the Beginning of Creation. As the central identity of the Creator, they demonstrate Love Coming Down to be Manifest as a Human Experience.  [In the Yucatec tradition, they are seen at the center. In the K’iche tradition, they are observed as the beginning and the end.]

Monkey Creates Magic in the Moment through Artful Play. We could imagine what we would do to Celebrate our Success, who we would call, where we would go, what we’d wear, and how much we’d spend. Or, we might just use some of our faerie dust or wave a magic wand that would begin the Creation of a Miracle.

We are moving in the 6-days of Spiritual Growth for this trecena. An effort to Dream and Imagine will fuel our Upward Climb. This is a Day that dares us to Crystallize the Vision of having already Manifested the Experience we would REALLY Love.

Our Dreams only die when they Aren’t Loved Enough. Though, with Dog and Monkey, it doesn’t really matter. If either were turned away, Dog would be ready for the next Opportunity for Happiness. Monkey would probably just look around and move on to the Next Thing that catches it’s eye.

Both Dog and Monkey take advantage of opportunity. Monkey envisions the final work of art, though never fully completes it. Our Living Work of Art changes with each new thread. 3 Monkey/CHUEN guides us to not take outcomes so seriously. Monkey isn’t attached to how things turn out, only in the Experience of its Creation. Monkey is motivated by Curiosity to take the next step. Dog is motivated by Unconditional Love.

Monkey teaches us about living in the moment, the place where Love and Beauty always exist. The only darkness in our experience is our fear in an unknown future, or in the disappointment of our past.

In yesterday’s comments to my “ERROR IN POSTING,” MoonShee shared a new word “heyoka.” We found it was the name of a Lakota clown character that dances contrary to everyone else – a jester. Monkey’s Cherokee Day Sign is the Raccoon… known as “the trickster that steals your heart.” One of my dearest lost friends, Theresa Gandhi, was known for “getting to the giggle,” as she put it. She was an outrageous Environmental Activist who Loved Puget Sound. She always listened and Honored Feelings, yet somehow managed to end every sorrow in giggles. At the conclusion of her memorial service an activist-friend let out a small giggle, and the entire room broke into laughter. The world could use a few laughs.

To all my relations, may we stand in the Truth that we are One with the Creator. When we Offer our Self to the fate of Divine Experience, Beauty will be Created. May we cast fear aside and engage in the Experience. The Happiest Times of our Life are when we are Moving toward an Experience of Love. This is the Heart of our Divine Purpose. May we Honor the Authenticity of our Feelings, yet end every sorrow with a giggle. And, May we dare to take the first step forward to our Highest Dream of Happiness.

in lak’ech, i am another you

3 Monkey/CHUEN (Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI)

Galactic Tone 3: Action. Three is basic movement and communication, which begins as a vibration. Three energy is very eloquent in all types of self-expression. Communication is how Three establishes a point of agreement between any point “A” and any point “B”. Three persons are rhythmic to the core and are often restless, as motion is their nature. By working closely with the energy of Three, any person becomes more able to predict motions of all kinds.

Monkey/CHUEN: Monkey is known to the Maya as the Weaver or Weaver of Time. Monkey takes ideas as threads of vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality. New patterns or inventions are also woven into our lives by Monkey. Amiable, intelligent, generous and a jack of all trades, Monkey’s innocent curiosity leads to artistic expression and constructive solutions. Many Monkeys become highly respected merchants or speakers. They love performing practical jokes and crave attention, so much so that they may over-act or play the fool to get the spotlight. Monkeys have a short attention span and find it difficult to stay with anything long enough to master it.

Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI:  Racoon’s star symbol is Algol, a star in Perseus. Restless energy yearning for long-lost love. Algol was named DEMON STAR or MISCHIEVOUS ONE by the Ancients because it winks and fades at times. Raccoons are full of friendly mischief, eager to swap kisses for candy. Magnetic leaders, full of humor and gaiety. Favorite food is corn, the mainstay of the Cherokee. Very artistic while being the “masked bandit” who steals your heart. Totem Monkey: The energy of humor, the artisan and craftsmen of the Universal energy. Helps us to lighten up in all situations, was the glyph of the 4th world creation in conjunction with OC so that we would have humor in all of our endeavors. The humor, when added to a serious situation will allow you to have a less destructive pattern of resolution. This is the “Cosmic joke” energy to help us transcend the duality. A life path of comedian, actor, artist, artisan writer, satirist, any path is enhanced with this humor in conjunction with the creative energies.

    • This post was an interesting journey. Monkey presented a lot of extraneous information.. a run on. On second inspection I just kept removing the unnecessary words, and the core truth also appeared to myself. I do believe this is a day of magic. There’s no reason not to take it for a test drive. in lak’ech, and thank you for sharing my experience. Debra

      • better late than never, eh? I have enjoyed this trecena – even tho the timing is by far not linear (imagine that). I have had a ’bout’ with words – I may actually post a very wordy rumination on it…lol! this journey never ceases to amaze me! I certainly wish you ultimate success – which no doubt will manifest in the union with others on the Journey – of your ‘counseling’ coming into fruition…excellent timing! buena suerte, aloha, en lak’ech amor siempre

      • I am relating to your non-linear. I’ve been going in circles to get someplace this trecena… maybe today I’ll get there. The walk in the unknown has seemed easier this trecena… even a couple of disappointments were worthy in seeing how they didn’t have to matter so much. Thank you for the good wishes – the veil hasn’t fully lifted yet for me to see the future. in lak’ech, Debra

      • ‘maybe today I’ll get there…’ where is there? this is my biggest dilemma – I have no frickin’ clue, and so focus has been all over the place. Working so diligently by listening and waiting – without making decisions that I must later ask ‘ok, why that’ – as well as really trying to feel my way through…utilizing the beautiful ‘advice’ along the way to the best of my ability. this will be an interesting trecena to wrap up – it started out so different than where I am now…muy curioso. en lak’ech aloha ~e

      • I’m thinking of decisions I labored over that I could never figure out. One in particular turned out to be an issue of timing. The circumstances changed and there was no longer need for me to figure it out. My hardest times are when I feel like I’m walking through a dark hallway looking for the next door. sending my love, in lak’ech, Debra

      • I just realize there’s a global burner coming on 4 Serpent/CHICCHAN. I always start feeling more intense moving toward a burner day. Burners release a buildup of energy. Hang in there til June 3rd, 4 Serpent/CHICCHAN and see if that doesn’t lighten things up. Debra

      • indeed there does seem to be an ‘unknown’ something brewing…thanks for the heads up! some friends and I have been having some very deep conversations around this Journey we humans are currently blundering through to who knows where, or even why! guess this is part of the unfolding, eh? I look for clues in your wisdom – thank you so much! en lak’ech, my attention is tuned in!

      • It’s a together journey – it was your question that made me realize I was also feeling some intensity – to discover that burner! It DOES help settle things down. Facing a wild “monday” of a Tuesday after a holiday.

      • I am really looking at this trecena…today day1 especially, to open the door to another level of depth in the quest for whatever we are questing for, it is a shape-shifter no doubt! the intensity of the ‘out there’ has amplified, may we keep our tethers to Mama Gaia and the Wind of Divinity strong! mucha amor y gracias para todo, en lak’ech, enjoy your week every single moment ~e

      • I feel like this trecena offers an experience of personal power – and good advice you offer to keep close to Mother Earth as a stabilizing force, and I’d throw in – take care of ourselves and remember slow growth is good growth. We’ll see how it plays out! Thanks for sharing the walk. in lak’ech, Debra
