3 Eagle / MEN – Building an Altar: Day 3 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

3 Eagle / MEN

Greetings Kin,

3 Eagle/MEN is the first day of movement in the trecena of Reed/BEN, a cycle that will manifest an Intention of Right Relationships. On Tone 3 we give life to a Dream by taking action in the material world. From the Ether of Spirit we create a new vibration in the physical realm that follows its own natural course. Eagle/MEN is the Day Sign that calls forth our Highest Hopes and Aspirations.

Eagle serves as an Intermediary, carrying us to the Heavenly Realm for a Higher Source for Wisdom and Direction. Eagle lifts us up where we are capable to see through the eyes of the Creator. Gifted with the ability to see from afar, Eagle would help us see the Creator’s Dream of our Future.

We are entering into the movement of our new phase of Spiritual Growth. We are establishing within our Self the Light of the Dream we would reach for. As we take our first step, a Dream brought to life will naturally lead us to the next.

As the Intermediary, Eagle offers a flight to the Heavenly realm where we are drawn near to the Creator. Gifted with a perspective from up above, we can see something that wasn’t visible from the ground. We’re lifted up beyond the limit of our Human discernment.

Eagle/MEN demonstrates the Vision we would hold for those we Love. Just as we seek comfort from the Creator, so do children and family look to the Authority in the home for the discernment of Harmony and Well-being.

The Reed/BEN trecena draws our Hearts to Home. I’ve found myself reliving memories with my children and seeing what a great blessing they have been. I remember the way they looked to me to confirm everything was alright. As they attempted their first steps and fell down, I remember them turning to see the expression on my face, as if they were deciding whether this stumble was worthy of their tears. Here, our compassion can be misconstrued as disappointment or pity. Our Higher Gift of Love as we face life’s challenges, is our Higher Vision that a few bumps and scrapes are worthy in the attempt of a Higher Accomplishment.

Our role is to brush away the dirt and tears, offering the discernment that everything is okay. We offer encouragement and celebrate the effort as a natural part of learning to walk. Through us, our children are given a Higher Vision of their future. Eagle/MEN calls us to be the Intermediaries for Higher Discernment. As the Authority of Home and Family, our opinion matters. We hold the Power of Influence to Bless others with the Vision our Highest Hopes and Aspirations.

From a Human perspective, things don’t look so good. As we are navigating times of great change, the chaos that is a natural part of the process can present the idea that things are NOT okay. We have all the evidence of a run-away-train, veering off-course, and heading for a disaster. Eagle/MEN calls us to point to a Light that shines ahead.

Eagle reminds us that we don’t have to know every step that leads from Point A to Point B to get there. All we have to do is focus on the Vision we would create, and then take a Leap of Faith. We’ll make our way by Intuition in Faith that one step will lead to the next.

Jaguar/IX taught us to discern our Dream and the way to reach it was through the magic of our gratitude. The altar of Home is the place we would kneel and share our gratitude for the Vision we see in the future. We are called to Believe in the Dreams of our children and family.

There have been times when I succeeded because no one thought I could. I doggedly followed a dream just to prove a point. “I told you so” doesn’t hold the same reward as accomplishing a Dream that was shared and celebrated equally. Our joy won’t be found in an effort of competition. I can remember more times that I gave up too soon. As an Eagle/MEN, I’m conscious of my own natural impulse to just give up and fly away. Mostly, I see a pattern that developed. “Proving a point” as a motive, only perpetuated an intention of seeking validation from outside of myself.

Eagle reminds us to Celebrate Wild Ideas and Dreams that have never been accomplished before. We can share the Divine Discernment that whatever we can imagine holds the Power of Possibility. Eagle is capable to aim straight for what it wants and grasp the opportunity. Eagle guides us to encourage others to reach their Highest Dreams.

To all my relations, as we continue to build the altar for home and family, may we make an Offering of our Dreams. May we share our Vision of the Divine Nature of our Dreams as a Gift from Up Above. May we share our Faith that when offered unto the Creator’s Hand, we can exceed the limits of our Human understanding. May we share the vision of a Bright Future, offering assurance that the bumps along the way, are the evidence of Growth. May our first instinct be to dispel fear and negative thinking. May we learn from our children the Wonder of our Dreams and Imagining, as a Gift worthy unto themselves. Seeing through the eyes of child, we can see the Joy they bring right now. May we applaud “wild ideas” of our children as the proof of their own special talent for innovative thinking. We might point to the important discoveries made by others who were capable to imagine something new. May we also support the freedom to change our Dreams. May the new Dreams our children share each day be honored as just as special as the ones they had yesterday. May we Honor the Divinity of our Dreams and the Authority of our own Free Will to choose them for our Self.

in lak’ech, i am another you

3 Eagle/MEN (Cherokee, Eagle/ UWO’HATLI)

Galactic Tone 3: Action. Three is basic movement and communication, which begins as a vibration. Three energy is very eloquent in all types of self-expression. Communication is how Three establishes a point of agreement between any point “A” and any point “B”. Three persons are rhythmic to the core and are often restless, as motion is their nature. By working closely with the energy of Three, any person becomes more able to predict motions of all kinds.

Eagle/MEN: Intermediary between Heaven and Earth. Due to the Eagles superior point of view and keen intelligence, they achieve material abundance and good fortune. A messenger gifted with patience and a deep sense of value, Eagle brings hope and trust on the wings of Spirit. Eagle persons are very detail oriented and technically inclined. Compassionate service to others sustains prosperity for Eagle personas as the flapping of wings would sustain their bird brothers. If Eagle becomes viciously competitive or possessive, greed and jealousy cause a fall from the heights. Eagles, being blessed with freedom of movement, should be aware of escapism. Eagles may be tempted to just fly away from troubles by using indulgences.

Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI: Eagle’s symbol is Mars the Spirit Warrior. He is a minion of Grandfather Moon. Eagles were the warrior society, the braves the protectors of the nation. Women were included. There was no discrimination which is reflected in the language: third person singular is divided into animate, human and animate, not human instead of he and she. The energy of high hopes and anticipations, dreams and visions, cosmic consciousness and commitment. On earth, a provider of excellence, leader, husbandry, care-taking of others, financial security and inheritance.
