5 Sun / AHAU – Path of Higher Learning: Day 5

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

5 Sun / AHAU

Greetings Kin,

Tone 5 brings the Intention of Empowerment, offering the strength for our upward climb. We are generating the momentum to complete the effort of Spiritual Growth toward an Intention of gaining new Wisdom.

Sun/AHAU is the most revered of all Day Signs as a symbol of Light, Life, and Happiness. Like Wisdom/CIB, Sun is a symbol of the Ascended Masters, as well as the Creator. Together they hold the Intention of our Creation, the Knowledge of our Purpose, and the Sum of all Divine Wisdom.

AHAU represents the Light of Illumination we are offered with each new day. As our Creator, Sun knows our capabilities and motivates us to invest ourselves in our Highest Performance.

Completing the 10th Uinal: The 260 days of the Tzolk’in is divided into 13 uinals (columns) of 20 days. The intention of each uinal corresponds with the meanings of the 13 Tones. The uinals reflect a Higher Purpose behind the scenes for each trecena. We are completing the 10th Uinal of Manifestation. Just as Tone 10 asks us to realize what we have created, 5 Sun/AHAU marks a day of an Important Realization of Accomplishment for this Tzolk’in round.

11 Sun / AHAU – Quest of Love: Day 11

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

11 Sun / AHAU

Greetings Kin,

Tone 11 presents the intention of bringing resolution to a new understanding. For a new Truth to take hold, we must see how it “fits” into our everyday experience of living and the Higher Purpose it would serve.

Sun/AHAU is the day of the Ancestors, a symbol of the Ascended Masters who achieved the Highest Transformation of Human Consciousness. Sun/AHAU is a day to Honor those who have gone before and the Guiding Light of their Wisdom. Given the Sun’s full Light, we can see what is hidden in darkness, and hidden in plain sight. AHAU signals a day of Realization.

Tone 11 is the day of the trecena when the shaman climbs to the Highest Altar to make an Offering and to seek Higher Inspiration. Today we can realize a Truth of our own Higher Ground when we seek an Intention of Love.  Continue reading

4 Sun / AHAU – Discovering Our Dynamic World: Day 4

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

4 Sun / AHAU

4 Sun / AHAU

Greetings Kin,

Our New World takes on the stability of form as the center of the 4 Directions. Tone 4 relates to the most stable of geometric forms, the cube, which presents the dimensions of height, length, depth and breadth. Tone 4 sets the parameters, rules, and place for the manifestation of a new Intention.

4 Sun/Ahau is revered by the Maya as the day on which the Mayan world was born. Like the Creation Story of the Bible, on the first day “God created the Heavens and the Earth,” and brought them to Life with the Spoken Words, “Let there be Light.”

The parameters of Earth were given as our own Place of Becoming. The illumination of the Sun would stabilize a marriage between Heaven and Earth to support our Life, Happiness, and Illumination.

AHAU is the Lord of the Tzolk’in. Each day we are given heralds new Light from the Sun. Sun/AHAU is the Day Sign of Light that illuminates our highest aspirations. Sun/AHAU opens the connection to the Ancestors, offering Divine Wisdom for our new Spiritual Growth.

4 Sun/AHAU – Global Burner Day: Today is one of 4 Global Burner Days that include 4 Sun/AHAU, 4 Serpent/CHICCHAN, 4 Dog/OC, and 4 Eagle/MEN. These 4 Kin are observed by the Maya with Sacred Fire Ceremony for the Intention of burning off residual energy and restoring Harmony to the Community.  Global Burners occur on the 30th day of each Season of the Tzolk’in, 65 days apart. Burners support the Intention of Stability (4) and serve to alleviate imbalance or stress. 4 AHAU completes the 8th Uinal and the Sacred Intention of the Divine Justice of Harmony and Equity.

10 Sun / AHAU – Recreating our World: Day 10

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

10 Sun/AHAU

10 Sun/AHAU

Greetings Kin,

On Tone 10 of Manifestation we are greeted by Sun/AHAU, our Source of Light, Life, and Happiness. Today we are given the Light that brings into focus a Truth of what we have accomplished.

The Monkey/CHUEN trecena has led us through a cycle of introspection. We’ve been learning to draw upon the Light of our own Spirit. The last 20 days have tested us to see something in ourselves. We have experienced our own darkness in an effort to Challenge and Strengthen our own Light. 10 Sun/AHAU celebrates a major accomplishment.

Sun/AHAU is the Creator of a world where we could play, inspect life, and create a world of our Own Expression. We can see how Our World, always moving, can easily go off course when no one is “behind the wheel.” Consciousness and Intention are the Spiritual Tools capable to keep us on a steady course.

A visit from the Sun is said to be a day of Realization. All things are brought to New Light. Illusions that were in the shadows are seen in the full-light of day. Sun also brings greater detail and clarity to the Truth we already knew.

3 Sun / AHAU – Healing by Truth: Day 3

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

3 Sun/AHAU

Greetings Kin,

The Flint/ETZNAB trecena is guiding us through a fearless discovery of the hidden parts of ourselves. Like a pruning, the process can be painful, though in the end we’ll be stronger and bear a more abundant harvest.

I have found myself questioning, “Who AM I?” My shadow is being drawn out so I can see with crystal clarity the parts of me that are not in correspondence with my Higher Self. I am in deep consideration of everything I would desire to let go.

The Wayeb doubles this energy of personal clearings  as it brings the Haab 365-day year to its conclusion. It is a time for throwing away old and broken things and to bring resolution to make way for a New Year. (See 13 Earth/CABAN for more on the Wayeb.)

Flint has brought painful self awareness. My shadow feels the full weight of its attachment, like an old flannel shirt it hates to give away. The chaos of the world is reflected back to me as my own powerlessness and disappointment in myself.

Then, I Re-Member this is a “working” trecena. We are applying what we learned about our own Inner Power.  We came out of a 10-day Portal to the Spirit World from the Serpent/CHICCHAN trecena. Our Spiritual Experience may now seem like a long-ago dream. The job at hand is to Re-Member our Spiritual Power is still there. Our “work” is to now operate on Belief in the Power of our own Spirit.

9 Sun / AHAU

9 Sun / AHAU

Greetings Kin,

Our encounters with Sun/AHAU are known for Realizations as Sun brings the Light of Understanding. AHAU is the Day Sign that offers our Highest Encouragement to Reach for the Best within ourselves.

Sun is the Supreme Being that gives Light, Life and Happiness; the One who knows all, sees all, and orchestrated the Divine Plan. This is the Day Sign that encourages our most Valiant Effort. Sun brings us the Wisdom of a Parent who guides a Child… knowing the Highest Achievement could be Accomplished if we could See what they have Seen.

2 Sun / AHAU – Spirit Revival: Day 2

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

2 Sun/AHAU

2 Sun/AHAU

Greetings Kin,

Sun/AHAU brings the Light of Illumination. Whenever we encounter Sun/AHAU we can expect a new Realization. Tone 2 is the most powerful placement of Sun/AHAU to bring Illumination to the Way we would move forward.

Tone 2 holds the intention of Duality. A new idea is brought into consideration. We face a Choice of our own Free Will  as we consider a Dream from our own perspective, imagining all that it could be and the possibility for its manifestation. AHAU can bring a glaring light to what could hold us back, and shines a light on a Way forward.

Sun/AHAU is the Day Sign that connects us to the Ancient Ones and the Wisdom of their guidance. We are called to seek Higher Spiritual Guidance. Storm/CAUAC leads our journey as a Day Sign of the West, the direction of our daily walk. AHAU can shed Light on a new direction. Sun/AHAU brings light to what is hidden in darkness, as well as what is hidden in plain sight. Sun can help us see something that’s been right in front of us all along.
