5 Monkey / CHUEN – A Vision of Purpose: Day 5 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

5 Monkey / CHUEN

Greetings Kin,

Tone 5 offers the Empowerment for our Spiritual Climb. Monkey/CHUEN demonstrates our Power of Creation. Monkey is the Master Artist that manifests beauty from its Imagination. CHUEN is the Weaver of Time. The glyph of the Monkey shows “time rolled up” on its head. Monkey discovers the Beauty in all the times of our life.

Tone 5 and CHUEN share the same aspects of intelligence and imagination that can conceive the Application of Inspiration. The experiences of living are the raw materials and medium for Monkey’s work of Art. As Dog/OC’s closest friend, CHUEN sees that an Application of Love holds the Power to Create Beauty from every experience.

Monkey/CHUEN helps us discover beauty by not taking ourselves so seriously. Monkey uses its intellect and imagination in the activity of play. Monkey sees life through a lens of curiosity, trying things just to see what happens. CHUEN weaves together the experiences of our life into a work of art.

The Cherokee Day Sign of the Raccoon is a trickster who is full of friendly mischief, who plays the fool to make us smile. We are inclined to approach our Spiritual Growth as serious business. Raccoon lightens our hearts by allowing us to see the Humor in our Human ways of being. Through play, Monkey helps us experience the simple Joy of Living.

11 Monkey / CHUEN – A New Dawning: Day 11 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

11 Monkey / CHUEN

Greetings Kin,

Tone 11 holds an Intention to Raise our Consciousness to a Divine Discernment. Tone 11 is the day that the shaman climbs to the highest altar for communion with the Creator. 11 offers a higher perspective of our purpose and place in the world.

Monkey/CHUEN is the weaver of time, a Creator who weaves together the experiences of our life to be seen as a Thing of Beauty. None of the details are overlooked by One who knows how to see the whole of our experiences as the tapestry of our life.

Monkey/CHUEN is the Master of all Art, who sees each experience as only a thread of a larger image of who we are. CHUEN inspects every detail, and places together the threads of dark and light.

Monkey teaches us to be Creator’s of Beauty by looking at our experiences together in order and context. Monkey doesn’t finish what it starts. We are being shown how to see and create this beauty for our Self.

4 Monkey / CHUEN – Fledgling Flight of Ascension: Day 4 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

4 Monkey / CHUEN

Greetings Kin,

On Tone 3 we brought an Intention to Life that was shared with the Creator. We Sacrifice something of our Self for the Greater Good. We see the needs of someone else are just as important as our own. The Dream we wish for our Self is raised up by Unconditional Love, so we would wish that same Blessing for everyone else.

Like a Hero who takes a Leap of Faith to save another, we are led to focus only on the goal. Without waiting to figure out how we would carry it out, we jump in, relying on Instinct, Intuition, and a Divine Intention.

Tone 4 offers us a Sense of Stability. The 4 Directions are our Foundation and means of Orientation. Blue Day Signs represent Water, our Emotions, our Experience of Life. Monkey/CHUEN shows us a way to navigate Life’s Journey through the Unknown. Monkey’s Gift can serve as an Inner Compass.

We create stability in our life is by adhering to a routine. This is easy to see in our children. We can ease the discomfort of our Unknowns, by working within a framework of Knowns. Tone 4 helps set a Course of Self Care. Monkey can help us maintain our Balance by reminding us to Play and to use our Imagination.

10 Monkey / CHUEN – Living as a Creator: Day 10

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

10 Monkey / CHUEN

Greetings Kin,

Galactic Tone 10 relates to the materialization of substance, expression, beauty, and potential. Tone 10 is the frequency that allows us to experience beauty of all kinds.

Monkey/CHUEN demonstrates our Power to Manifest through play. As we hold the Intention of our Dream, we’re guided to experience our Creation through the eyes of a child.

Monkey is the Day Sign of High Magic. In the order of the Day Signs, Monkey is in Position 11. The Master Number 11 symbolizes spiritual awakening, intuition, and self-expression, and the number of the mystic.

The Ancient Alchemists knew our greatest Power of Visualization must be carried by the energy of Artful Play. Play releases us from the faculties of reason. We can operate from a place where no limit or judgement is placed on our performance to Dream our Creation.

Monkey reminds us we don’t have to take our Self so seriously. Monkey is a Creator who plays with ideas. Monkey and Dog share an affinity – Monkey curiously follows a trail of Beauty and Love. Monkey is the Weaver of Time. He sees how all our experiences are woven together.

3 Monkey / CHUEN – Journey as One: Day 3

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S BLOG

3 Monkey / CHUEN

Greetings Kin,

Tone 3 brings the Intention of Movement. An idea moves from Spirit into the physical world. When we share our idea or take action toward it, we create an energy and vibration. It’s no longer just our thought.

When we share an idea, we Create an Experience. Through a Call we solicit a Response to both the Idea we share, and the Experience of Being Told. When we take action, we see an Idea following its own course that moves us from one step to another. That’s why Love goes hand-in-hand with Creation, we have to Love the Idea Enough to be willing to take the next step.

Monkey/CHUEN models a way of movement that releases us from our Emotional Bondage. CHUEN is the Master of all Art and the Weaver of Time, a Creator who’s movements are Inspired by the Imagination. The Weaver of Time creates the Tapestry of our Life, seeing each experience as a thread in a larger picture.

Positioned together, Dog and Monkey reflect the Creator’s Central Identity by their Divine Purpose and Intention. Love was the Creator’s Divine Inspiration, and Monkey is the Movement that would Create the Human Experience of Love. When we are Moved by Love, we create a thread of Beauty… a Human Experience of Love.

PORTAL DAY: Element of Ether
Dog and Monkey share Portal Days together. 2 Dog/OC is a Portal and so is 3 Monkey/CHUEN. On Portal Days the veil between dimensions is thin. Our Spiritual Experiences are magnified, just as Dog and Monkey magnify each other. We are in a place of a Divine Inspiration of Movement that will magnify a Spiritual Experience. (This is what I was in process of writing when my half-finished-unedited post was “accidentally” published. I found humor in the synchronicity that Monkey jumps in to be posted on the same day as Dog…. a Monkey Photo Bomb.)  🙂

9 Monkey / CHUEN – Transformation of Possibility: Day 9

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

9 Monkey / CHUEN

Greetings Kin,

Tone 9 encourages our Patience to look at the Big Picture. Monkey/CHUEN is the Master of all Art that Creates the tapestry of our life – weaving all our Experiences together. We learn that Wisdom and Experience go together, with one Truth building upon another. We miss something when we overlook the Higher Purpose of the Whole.

Tone 9 is the number of the Moon, and the aspects of the Divine Feminine for the Discernment of our Emotions.  Tone 9 also relates to “cause and effect” in matters of Spirit. Our Spiritual Experiences are balanced with the Physical World in an equal and opposite way. We have to “give up” to win, be vulnerable to find our strength, and die to be reborn. Monkey/CHUEN holds the Beauty of Every Experience in perfect balance.

Mike Shore, MayanMajix.com

Express your love for the Mayan Calendar by wearing a Mayan Glyph T-shirt

These beautiful Mayan Day Signs T-shirts were painted in watercolor by Debra Malmos. We are so grateful that Debra said “YES” to our idea of printing them on T-shirts. You can feel Debra’s passion for the calendar in every colorful brush stroke.

“Talk about a great way to spark interest in the Mayan calendar!

Wear your own Mayan Day Sign or get a few of your favorite glyphs for those special occasions. I personally got an Ahau T-shirt to honor the memory of Ian Xel Lungold. (Pictured)

These full color Mayan Glyph t-shirts were originally painted in watercolor by Debra Malmos as her daily meditation to connect with the Tzolk’in. Over the course of 260 days, Debra evolved her paintings to these 20 master glyphs which we are proud to offer exclusively on Mayan Majix. We love how Debra has expressed her passion for the calendar with each brush stroke making this one of the most unique offerings on Mayan Majix.
